Hotel Villa Franca Positano

I actually stayed at Villa Franca in August 2018. The hotel had just opened at that time and wasn’t as popular yet. With its staff, location, and design, I predicted that it would rise in popularity. The view is stunning, and there is a rooftop pool. Don’t miss a morning walk either — the people are very warm and welcoming.

Thanks a lot team Hotel Villa Franca, for amazing hospitality and excellent services. During our stay we had great breakfast and restaurant experience. Amazing room cleaning services couple times a day, We celebrated our 10th anniversary at this hotel, and the team took care of the entire organization. They helped us choose and decorate the location, arranged the table setup, and even took care of the music. Everything was done to perfection stylish, tasteful, and absolutely Instagram/Pinterest-worthy! You can tell they have a great eye for detail and really know the latest trends. The hotel truly feels like living in an art gallery, the entire lobby is filled with stunning artworks, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere from the very first moment you step inside. The staff are just impeccable, perfectly selected, incredibly professional, and always so elegantly dressed. It really adds to the whole atmosphere and makes the experience feel even more special. These Italians really know what they’re doing, style “clearly” runs in their DNA.

Common areas are beautiful, especially the rooftop pool! Our room was the smallest I have ever seen, with almost no closet space and no drawers to put things away. And we looked out at the roof of the building next door, so really not very nice. The staff however were fantastic. Despite the size of the room and the view we really enjoyed the hotel until check out. When checking out the lady showed me my total bill and then asked me what tip I would like to leave, implying I should tip on the total bill (which was around €7,000). I thought this was ridiculous, maybe this is a thing in the USA, but Italy does not have a tipping culture, nor do we in my country. How many people just leave a tip without thinking? Who even gets this tip? Would not go back for this alone, seems very greedy to me.

Our stay at Hotel Villa Franca was absolutely amazing!! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, they made us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. The views from our room were spectacular!! This hotel sits on one of the highest western points in the immediate Positano area so you get 360 degree views from its rooftop pool / lunch/ bar area. The hotel shuttle will drop you off in the town center where you can walk through beautiful little streets all the way the beach where there are great restaurants. Nadia and Aurora at the front desk topped off our stay, from helping us w reservations, cabs to and from restaurants, to helping us w our 25th wedding anniversary foto shoot. We had a multi city vacation but HVF was the absolutely the best!!

A lovely stay at this cute hotel with excellent views. We were there for four nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were super friendly and couldn’t be more helpful, especially Nadia and the views are probably some of the best in Positano. The rooftop pool was super chilled although it was early in the season and although the pool was not heated it was still lovely to spend time up on the roof. The food was great, especially breakfast and while cosy, the room made up for it with the views, able to sit on the balcony and watch the sun disappear over the hills. The concierge were really helpful and organising a car to and from Naples Airport made our journey super easy. It’s a trek down to the beach but easy enough to do downhill. The shuttle is easy to use and easy to plan around. Would stay there again.
