Almanac X Alcron Prague

We stayed at the Almanac X Alcron Prague for 4 nights. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from the Prague Main Train Station, Old Town Square, and public transportation(trams and metro). The hotel is stylish and modern with interesting history, its beginnings in 1932 as the Alcron Hotel. The staff were professional and personable. We were upgraded to a junior suite. We had breakfast daily with buffet style offerings of a variety of breakfast foods as well as ala carte options. After a full day of exploring we enjoyed cocktails and a shareable meal at the lobby bar. We also enjoyed a coffee from the Elias Coffee Shop. We did notice the air conditioning in our room did not cool much. It was not really an issue since the weather was mild but could be in hotter weather. Overall, a very pleasant stay in the beautiful city of Prague. Almanac X Alcron Prague is part of The Hotel Collection with American Express. The room had an in-room safe, hair dryer, bath robes, slippers, umbrella, coffee maker, hot water kettle, mini bar refrigerator, large bathtub, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, and body balm(lotion).

The hotel is in a great location and very modern, classy styling. However, our room wasn’t sound proofed and below the hotel was party central until daybreak so no sleep for us! We thought it was curious that they leave earbuds on the bedside table for you. Room temp was ok but bathroom was like an oven and not able to be adjusted. Restaurant was good. Wouldn’t stay here again

This hotel had everything one would need, spacious rooms, modern and bright! The ground floor restaurant, a la carte breakfast option was a great start to the day along with it as a restaurant in the evening! The front desk staff provided exceptional assistance, offering maps, directions to destinations, and recommendations for excellent restaurants. The hotel itself is stylishly designed and conveniently located near the city centre and major tourist attractions.

I recently stayed at Almanac Hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the air conditioning. The AC was not working properly during my stay, and the room temperature stayed around 27–29°C, which made it extremely uncomfortable and difficult to stay in the room. Because of this issue, we eventually decided to move to a different hotel. I sincerely hope the hotel fixes the AC problem as soon as possible for future guests. That said, I would really like to thank Henry for his excellent support throughout the situation. He was very kind, professional, and offered us several options to try to make our stay better. The way he spoke and handled everything genuinely made us feel that he truly cared about our comfort and was doing his absolute best to help us. His service was the highlight of an otherwise frustrating experience.

The air conditioning was switched off throughout the hotel, although the daily temperature was in the high 20s. The overnight temperature in my room over four nights ranged between 27 and 29°. It was like sleeping in an oven so not much sleep happened. Despite numerous complaints from me and many others, nothing was done. Emails to the general manager were ignored. Why conclusion is that? The management here does not care about the comfort of their guests. Stay elsewhere if you are coming in warmer months.
