Almanac X Alcron Prague

I don’t write many reviews, but felt the need after spending a week with my partner in this beautiful town, I could not fault this hotel in any way, the building,the rooms, the food, the destination and above all the staff who was so friendly and attentive, especially Anna who we met in the restaurant she went above and beyond and it’s a real Credit to her profession, and the hotel, she was just lovely, and I look forward to staying there again at some point, so a big thank you and a well done to all at the Almanac X Alcron.

Great location, very friendly staff and excellent quality room. Welcome drink on arrival, and the staff were very kind and gave us free drinks vouchers when we mentioned in conversation we are getting married later this year so we could celebrate. Sauna and gym available to use, we weren't aware of the gym prior to arrival so that was a good bonus. Everything is very walkable from the hotel. Decent gluten free items available at breakfast, with allergens clearly stated. The gluten free toast wasn't the best so I would avoid that, but otherwise you won't go hungry.

We had an absolutely horrible stay at Almanac X Alcron. In fact probably our worst stay in a hotel in many years. The thermostat/ ventilation in the room does not work. The room was 25.5 C overnight. It is not comfortable to sleep. It is very hot. I note another guest recently complained about the temperature of rooms. So we had to sleep with the window open, this was fine on the first night, however on the second night the music from the hotel bar was absolutely blaring. If you are hoping for a comfortable sleep, or any sleep at all, do not stay here. We called the hotel reception and they told us the music will play until 1am and there was nothing they could do about it as they had rented it for a special event. They agreed that the music was very loud and was "annoying". However they had not paid for a room with the intention of sleeping.

This is the second Almanac property I've stayed at and both experiences have been lovely. The staff at the Almanac x Alcron were so helpful from the moment we checked in. I spent Valentine's Day weekend in Prague with my partner as part of the hotel's romantic winter getaway package. We had an amazing time. The location of the hotel was perfect--close walking distance to tourist attractions and great neighborhoods. Our room was modern and very comfortable with all of the amenities that we needed. The lobby and common spaces were beautiful. We loved the art exhibition on the first floor. Our stay came with two drink tickets to the hotel bar. My husband and I were blown away by the quality of the cocktails. They were so innovative and delicious! Our stay also came with breakfast, which was great way to start off each morning.
