Excellent Service, fancy cocktails, innovative Food and interesting Czech wine - what more could I ask for? The sourdough bread was very good, the diamond shaped ice Cube in the Prima Balerina Cocktail and the starter on a warm stone came as nice surprises. Thank you also for the Birthday surprise for my wife. We enjoyed the evening very much.

Our stay at Almanac X Alcron Prague was deeply disappointing and fell far below the standards expected of a hotel positioning itself as upscale or luxury. From the outset, basic functionality was lacking. The air conditioning did not cool the room, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Apparently, the entire hotel is only has heating during the winter. Wall outlets next to the bed did not work, which is inexcusable in a modern hotel where guests rely on charging devices overnight. To make matters worse, the door handle connecting our two rooms quite literally fell off — and despite reporting this to the manager, it was never fixed. Housekeeping was equally problematic. On one occasion, dirty towels were removed and no clean towels were left, leaving us without any towels at all. Water bottles were not replenished, and there was no housekeeping or turndown service for multiple days until we escalated the issue directly to a manager on the 31st. Apparently, we are supposed to request water refills and housekeeping as needed. This should never require guest intervention at a 5 star hotel. Sleep quality was also compromised due to persistent morning noise from a service door, which was disruptive and entirely avoidable with proper operational oversight. Housekeeping staff would open the door and let it against the lock which would shake our door and cause a huge noise that woke us up daily. The service experience was no better. At check-in, the front desk agent did not acknowledge us at all, remaining on her phone and eventually calling someone else to assist — no greeting, no apology, no professionalism. For a property that markets itself as refined, this level of indifference is startling. Additionally, no welcome champagne was offered at check-in, which is a standard practice we witnessed for all other guests checking in - a small but telling detail given the hotel’s branding and pricing. Additionally, we requested a wake-up call one morning which was not fulfilled. Staff were unapologetic. Taken together, these issues reflect not isolated mishaps but a systemic failure in maintenance, housekeeping, and guest service. This was not a stay befitting a premium hotel in a major European capital. We received a 20% discount for our troubles, but I would nevertheless never stay here again or recommend the hotel to others. Regrettably, we would not return — nor could we recommend this property to travelers seeking comfort, attentiveness, or even basic reliability.

Almanac X Alcron Prague is a truly exceptional hotel and a standout choice in Prague. The location is central and walkable, making it easy to explore the city while still feeling like a refined retreat. The lobby and dining room make a strong impression: elegant, warm, and beautifully designed. A highlight was the stunning photography exhibit by Mary McCartney, which adds a distinctive artistic layer to the space and gives the hotel a unique sense of character and sophistication. The bar deserves its own praise—creative, super fun cocktails paired with a lively, festive atmosphere made it a destination in its own right, not just an amenity for guests. Finally, special kudos to Shelly at the front desk, who truly went above and beyond. Her professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help elevated the entire stay and exemplified outstanding hospitality. Almanac X Alcron Prague strikes the perfect balance between style, comfort, and genuine service. Highly recommended and absolutely worthy of a return visit.

My husband and I stayed in Almanac X Alcron Prague in mid-November for 3 nights.  Alcron is located in the central area in New Town District within walking distance to Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and shopping districts.  It is a luxury, art deco hotel with nice room, modern and clean.  The breakfast was great and the staff was pleasant and well trained.   The staff members of Front Office (FO) was very helpful and caring.  With their guidance, we walked to Dancing House and back, a very nice walk.  As we like to dine in local restaurants, FO showed us a number of them on V Jame street (just turn the corner from Alcron) for us to choose.   We enjoyed the stay in Alcron for their pleasant room and environment, professional service come with their warm and caring smiles.   Tse Yang
