I have a mixed review for the Four Seasons Prague. On the positive side the food was absolutely delicious- breakfast, lunch and dinner in Cotto Crudo. The restaurant serving staff superb- friendly, polite, and attentive. The location of the hotel is ideal in the old town close to many touring sights, restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately we were disappointed with some aspects of our stay. Upon arrival we had to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes to check in. Although the reception staff apologized- the time we had to wait to get settled into our room was too long. We booked an expensive suite with a view of the river. The room 331 was beautiful but the fan in our air conditioning unit of our bedroom did not work and we had to keep the door of our bedroom open to the living room in order to keep our room cool. We did not realize there was an issue until late in the evening and did not want to complain and have to repack and change rooms. On our first night, we did not receive turn down service. I complained to housekeeping. The next morning an assistant manager of housekeeping, David Sterling, came up to us at breakfast to introduce himself and apologize. He asked when we would like our daily housekeeping service and turn down service and promised we would receive both at our desired times. This was a great effort on his part. However, on our last night here the fourth night, we did not receive turn down service. I called housekeeping to complain and David was not available. So we only received turn down service for two nights out of four. This is unacceptable for a Four Seasons hotel. Finally we wanted to make a dinner reservation at the hotel restaurant on our final evening here. We went to the concierge on Sunday afternoon June 29th and he told us to go walk to the restaurant to make the reservation. He could have walked us over or called them for us but he basically dismissed us. The Four Seasons is one of our favorite brands and we’ve stayed in many of their hotels all over the world. In fact last August we spent four nights at The Four Seasons Madrid. That experience was absolutely superb in every way. In comparison The Four Seasons Prague fell short. Still a very good hotel - but not fantastic.

I have travelled for about 50 years and this is the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. The level of service is exceptional at every level of the hotel. The room was very well laid out and kept extremely clean. The room temperature was great and the min-bar was nicely stocked and kept re-stocked. The service from the doormen, to room service to the front desk is outstanding. The hotel's location is great, very close to Charles Bridge and Old Town. The breakfast is also exceptionally good.

We usually like to stay at the Four Seasons, as you come to expect a particular luxury and standard. This hotel and the rooms in particular are old and tired. The carpets are torn, worn out, and have some stains and smells. The room is cheaply decorated and likely so until a renovation is scheduled. The Four Seasons should be your sanctuary when you step in. This was a Hilton….sorry but true. We were in room 623. The staff did their best and tried to move us to another room, but sadly, the other room was larger but not in any better condition. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are great, as is the gym. I prefer the gym wasn’t underground, but it was still well-equipped and large enough. The manager graciously offered to pick up the tab for dinner. In contrast, we just checked into the Rosewood in Vienna and what a difference. You step in and know you are in a special sanctuary for a few days. I hope they renovate. We will be at the Four Season Budapest and hope for the best.

When i first got to my room i thought nice not great. How wrong I was, this is a great hotel the friendly service begins at the front door (major kudos to Pavel) at the reception desk (I did not take names my bad) to the entire housekeeping staff, they left bookmarks when they saw my wife was reading a book. The concierge desk was extremely helpful. Major kudos to the dining room staff….all great, Jana is awesome. The gentleman who man’s the coffee station in the morning makes the best Latte I’ve ever had . The staff makes this maybe the best hotel i’ve ever stayed in. Ten stars would come back in a minute. Well done
