Golden Well Hotel

We stayed at the Golden Well Hotel to celebrate my partner Danni's birthday during our trip through Europe, and choosing this hotel turned out to be one of the best decisions of our entire journey. Long before we arrived, the team patiently helped me organize every detail of the celebration through email. They answered every question with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism, making me feel that they truly cared about creating a memorable experience rather than simply processing a reservation. When we finally arrived, everything had been prepared exactly as promised. The complimentary bottle of wine welcomed us in the room, the Aromatic Oil Bath was beautifully arranged, and our birthday dinner at Terasa U Zlaté Studně exceeded every expectation. The restaurant itself is spectacular, but what made the evening unforgettable was the warmth of the people who looked after us. The birthday cake served during dinner was a lovely surprise, and every member of the staff made us feel sincerely welcomed. Nothing ever felt scripted or forced. Instead, everyone seemed genuinely happy to help us celebrate such a meaningful occasion. The location is exceptional—just steps from Prague Castle, yet tucked away on a quiet street that feels like a hidden retreat above the city. The rooms are elegant, comfortable and impeccably maintained, while the service is simply outstanding. A special thank you to Daniel, Stanislav, Mr. Kusin, and everyone at the Golden Well. Your kindness, attention to detail and authentic hospitality transformed our stay into memories that Danni and I will cherish for many years. Luxury can be found in many places. Genuine hospitality is much rarer. The Golden Well offers both. We sincerely hope this was only our first stay with you, and we already look forward to returning.

We had an incredible stay at the Golden Well! From our warm welcome all the way until it was time to go, the service and attention to detail was top notch. We enjoyed staying in a smaller, boutique hotel and appreciated the great care they showed to all guests. The breakfast is delicious along with a great view of the city. Our room was beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed, great air conditioning, and a huge bathroom. The location is walkable to everything, many restaurants nearby and public transportation as well. We highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel and will absolutely stay there again.

We had the most magical stay at the Golden Well Hotel. From the moment we arrived at reception and sat down with David, we knew we had chosen well. David gave us a warm reception, telling us about the hotel, the city and various tours we could arrange through the hotel, all while serving us complimentary glasses of beer and prosecco. He then arranged for our bags to be brought to our room while he personally escorted us throughout the hotel, showing us the beautiful living room where an assortment of coffees and teas are always available and where they serve a spread of various pastries, fruits and beverages every afternoon, and then showing us the lounge/bar area and the restaurant. Upon arriving in our room, there was a bottle of red wine and macarons awaiting us. Each night, they offered turndown service and brought a little sweet treat for us to enjoy as well. The views from our room were amazing and the bed was very comfortable. The only concern I would share is that I could imagine an elderly or physically impaired person having difficulty getting in and out of the shower since it's a high step into the tub. In terms of location, it is within walking distance of Prague Castle, although it's a steep walk (We took the tram which was cheap and easy to manage - just 3 stops) and walked back. We were also a short walk from Charles Bridge and Old Town. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but we enjoyed excellent cosmos our last evening in the rooftop restaurant while enjoying the beautiful view and soaking it all in. Both David and his colleague Daniel worked with us to schedule a private tour of the Jewish Quarter with Robert, who was an excellent guide. Highly recommend this 3 hour walking tour. They also made arrangements to have a taxi take us to the airport. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive and helpful and very focused on making sure we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful city and if you do, staying at the Golden Well.

Dining at Zlatá Studna was an unforgettable experience — truly one of the finest meals I have ever had in Prague. The combination of exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and the most romantic view over the city created an evening that felt absolutely magical. Every dish was prepared with remarkable precision and creativity, showcasing the very best of Czech and international gastronomy. The flavors were perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and worthy of a Michelin‑level experience. A special mention must go to our waiter Honza — unfortunately I do not know his full name, but he is very tall (around 2 meters) and impossible to miss. His professionalism, warm personality, and flawless attention to detail elevated the entire evening. He is truly the pinnacle of hospitality and a credit to the restaurant. Zlatá Studna is a place where exceptional food meets breathtaking views and world‑class service. A perfect choice for a romantic dinner, a celebration, or simply an unforgettable night in Prague.

Wonderful hotel, idyllically located at the foot of Prague Castle. Very courteous, helpful, and friendly staff. Beautiful room with great service. We'll gladly come back!
