Our stay at The Golden Well in Prague was truly delightful from beginning to end. The reception was warm and professional. Victoria welcomed us with genuine friendliness, gave us a thoughtful tour of the hotel, and provided clear and helpful information about the surroundings. It immediately made us feel comfortable and well cared for. The room was elegant and very comfortable, with a genuine classic style that perfectly fits the historic character of the building. Everything felt calm, tasteful, and well maintained. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The view is beautiful, the breakfast menu is well prepared, and the buffet is generous and carefully arranged. The service was outstanding. Olga and Andrea were both warm, attentive, and caring, turning breakfast into a truly pleasant daily experience. The hotel’s location is superb, quiet yet perfectly situated for exploring Prague. Check-out was simple, smooth, and efficient. We truly enjoyed staying in this well-preserved historic building. It allowed us to feel and breathe the gracefulness of Prague in a very special way. We would gladly return and highly recommend The Golden Well to anyone seeking a refined and memorable stay.

Just got back from three fabulous nights at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had everything you needed and were spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice. The hotel is in a quiet location in a nice part of the city. We couldn’t fault anything with this hotel in our stay. Fabulous.

My wife and I were in Prague for four nights celebrating our wedding anniversary. We are SO happy that we chose to stay at the Golden Well Hotel. It is situated in a charming old building that was built in the 16th century but has been fully renovated with fully up-to-date and modern amenities. The building itself is beautiful and one reaches it by a charming cobblestone walkway. Incidentally, the building was the home of the famous astronomer, Tyco Brahe, an added bonus for any science nerds that might be in Prague! Our reception was delightful, and we found everyone to be extremely helpful. We would like to make special mention of Oleg and Vasyl at the front desk who were very kind and unfailingly helpful. Our room was lovely and well appointed. It had a spectacular view of the Old Town in the distance as well as a view of the beautiful Saint Nicholas Church, which is just about a three minute walk from the hotel. We were delighted by the turn-down service in which a delicious small dessert was left for us each evening! The breakfast was delicious and was served on the top floor terrace which also has a spectacular view. Breakfast was abundant with fruits, breads, cheeses, cereals; as well as made to order, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, etc. We want to make a special mention of Andrea, the waitress/hostess in the breakfast terrace upstairs - she was extremely friendly and helpful. Every day from about 4 PM to 6 PM they set out a selection of treats, including cookies, nuts, cake; as well as mulled, wine, coffee, and tea. This is all served in a charming little side room that is very inviting. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is situated in a quiet part of the city, but is still within walking distance to major attractions and the hustle and bustle. The hotel is nestled under the castle district, thus it is a relatively short (but steep!) walk to the castle complex, the cathedral, etc. It is about a 15 minute walk to the head of the Charles bridge where there are many shops, cafés, etc. The Lennon wall is also down near the head of the Charles Bridge, about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the hotel. The surrounding streets are very picturesque and also seemed very safe. To get to Old Town, which is much more bustling, it’s about a 20 or 30 minute walk. Alternatively, if you don’t wish to walk, it is easy to take the tram which stops just a few minutes from the hotel and is straightforward to navigate. Also, we should mention that if you are over 65 (perhaps over 60?) all of the public transportation in Prague, such as trains and the metro are free! So you don’t have to deal with the added confusion of purchasing tickets, etc. Everyone at the Golden Well Hotel seemed intent on making our experience as nice as possible. They certainly succeeded. We recommend The Golden Well Hotel with the highest possible enthusiasm! If and when we return to Prague we would absolutely love to stay here again!

This hotel is absolutely stunning with character. The location is fantastic in the more relaxed area of prague. The room’s are very spacious with a super-comfy mattress. A choice of pillows when the bed gets turned down. The staff go that little bit extra, our cases were took to our room whilst we got a tour of the hotel facilities with a welcome drink. Stunning views of prague from the rooftop restaurant make’s this hotel stand out from others. After a long day, a hot bath run by the staff and bedtime cake at your bedside table were just perfect. As you would expect the food was amazing, plenty of choice at breakfast with best quality ingredients. Walking distance to every attraction in prague, but just below the castle walls made this hotel the perfect location we thought. We would like to thank all the staff for making this holiday feel so relaxing. Great city with excellent food, we will be bringing the kids back next time.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the amazing welcome reception when we arrived, the lovely welcome letter in our room, the attention to detail throughout, and the wonderful breakfasts in the dining room .... it was all a delightful experience. All of the staff were helpful and attentive and our room was beautiful. One of the many great things about the hotel is the location. It is in walking distance to everything but in a very quiet section of the city, immediately below the castle. It was lovely to leave the craziness behind and retreat to the quietness of the hotel and enjoy the wonderful views of the city.

HarperWe spent 3 nights at this delightful hotel, and everything about the stay surpassed our expectations. The hotel has everything you could ask for in a luxury property, at very moderate prices. The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of most attractions, but a couple of short blocks removed from the tourist thouroughfares. The building, which is centuries old, is full of character. It has been tastefully renovated, with respect for the historic features of the architecture and decor. In closing, I hope to return to Prague sometime to see it in spring or summer. U Zlate Studne will definitely be my first choice.
