The 20 bedrooms and suites and adorned with masterful reproductions of centuries old pieces recreated by the furniture designers of Richelieu. Great location next to the castle. Extremely comfortable and clean with impeccable service and a warm welcome. The rooftop restaurant is not to be missed. Excellent food and an unbeatable view across Prague

Oh wow, I have never been treated better by a hotel. This Prague hotel was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I listened. I had been a little anxious when I read it was hard to get to and cars couldn't make it all the way there, etc. But when it turned out that my husband (who is a chef) had independently decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant, Terasa, I booked a package that included transfers to and from the train station, dinner at the restaurant, the hotel room, and a three hour tour. When we got there we discovered it also included free tickets to an interactive museum on the other side of the Charles Bridge called "The Story of Prague" which we found entertaining. The tour guide we had, Natalia, who guided us on our last morning through the Prague castle grounds, was great! The dinner at Terasa was so amazing (food and service)! It's true that the last bit to the hotel is not reachable by car, but the car arrived and a bellman appeared to take our luggage before we had even opened the door! When we arrived to the Prague train station the driver met us in the station with a board with our name on it. When the driver deposited us back to the train station he brought us and our luggage into the train station and showed us where to look for our train track, etc. Everything about this hotel was above and beyond. We had room 33, the Johannes Kepler room (and people kept talking about him when we were in Prague). There is even a pillow menu! The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great, towels amazing, amenities awesome quality...we were met by a lovely fruit plate and chocolates when we arrived, and each night they brought little cakes or chocolate to the room. There is a lounge on the first floor which serves sandwiches and free wine in the afternoon. I can't say enough positive things about the Golden Well hotel. (I normally can find fault anywhere).

Enjoyed our stay at the Golden Well. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included warm food such as pancakes, omelettes as well as fruit, cheeses, etc. Mimosa's on Sunday! The Happy Hour was a lovely treat after a long day sightseeing and included red and white French wine as well as some snacks, such as cheeses and olives. Location is excellent. Close to castle, bridge and many good restaurants. Bed and pillow selection was nice. I would without a doubt stay here again!

We stayed for three nights before needing to move to another hotel because of prior booking. We stayed in the Rudolf II Suite featured in the first photo in this TA description. Superlatives are inadequate to describe how wonderful this suite is on a nice sunny day with the windows open and a light breeze. We spent our last full day mostly jn the suite, just leaving for meals at the hotel’s incredible Terase restaurant, with its breathtaking views of the roofs of Prague. Happy we didn’t book a tour. Our 26 year-old daughter stayed at the hotel in a wonderful room, but unfortunately did not have a view. The key thing here in booking is to request a room with a view, even if a smaller room category. The staff are at the same high standard as the physical surroundings.

I would like to thank all the hotel staff for their work - professional attitude, approach, kindness, willingness and helpfulness. Thanks to each of them, our wedding day was flawless and unforgettable. The hotel itself offers comfortable and convenient accommodation, wonderful views of Prague and excellent cuisine. I can only recommend it to everyone.

Hotel U Zlate Studne was fabulous! The staff was gracious and attentive. Our Grande Deluxe guest room included every amenity as described. The food was excellent! The property itself is tucked away in a residential area. It is within a few blocks of public transportation, making this a great home base for sightseeing and shopping. Five-Star Quality!

HarperWe spent 3 nights at this delightful hotel, and everything about the stay surpassed our expectations. The hotel has everything you could ask for in a luxury property, at very moderate prices. The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of most attractions, but a couple of short blocks removed from the tourist thouroughfares. The building, which is centuries old, is full of character. It has been tastefully renovated, with respect for the historic features of the architecture and decor. In closing, I hope to return to Prague sometime to see it in spring or summer. U Zlate Studne will definitely be my first choice.
