Upon arrival at the hotel, the check-in process took a little longer than expected. There were many reception desks, but only two staff members on duty. We waited in line, and unfortunately we couldn't communicate in Czech, which was the only issue we encountered. After about 30 minutes, we were directed to the Priority desk, where a lady spoke Czech. Not that I couldn't manage in English, but after all, I'm at home... What made up for it was the accommodation itself. Room 4045 was perfectly clean and offered a beautiful view of Štvanice Island and the river. The beds were extremely comfortable, so I have absolutely no complaints about the room. A particularly pleasant experience was the welcome at breakfast. We would like to thank the very kind lady who greeted us by name and escorted us to a table in a quiet part of the restaurant. She took excellent care of us and made our breakfast truly enjoyable. We were in a hurry to catch a train, so we were short on time. Otherwise, the hotel probably would have lost money on us! There were so many delicious options. The friendly omelette chef was great, and I hope I made his shift a little more enjoyable by giving him the opportunity to speak with a Czech guest. I am generally not very fond of Ukrainians, but the Ukrainian staff members were friendly, helpful and apparently hardworking as well, so everything was perfectly fine. To finish breakfast, I treated myself to an excellent hot chocolate, specially prepared by the busboy assigned to our section. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and we will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Just had a meal in the Hilton at the Cafe and Bistro, my meal was average but my wife’s pork was undercooked and chewy there was no crackling as listed in the menu. Once again, which seems to be a theme with the Hilton brand, third party franchises run the hospitality that is not immediately available to customers staying at the hotel, instead you need to prebook a visit to these is that inconvenient and should not be the case.

The hotel is quite large (over 700 rooms). The lobby areas were crowded with some sort of convention or meeting although things improved once all the tables, signs, etc. were removed when the event closed. The elevators are amazing. To get to your room you swipe your key card and then enter the floor you want on the screen. You are then shown which elevator to use. There are no floor buttons in the elevator. The hotel is not located near the river and is a distance from the older parts of the city. There is tram service nearby but walking to the various sites is not convenient. Lunch in the atrium (lobby) cafe was expensive (over $70 for two sandwiches, one beer and one soda). We did not see any walkable restaurants nearby. If you are looking for Prague charm - this is not the spot.
