Standards No Longer Reflect the Hilton Brand

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I have been a regular guest at Hilton Prague in the past and always considered it a guarantee of quality consistent with the international Hilton brand. Therefore, my stays in January and February of this year were a major disappointment, as they clearly revealed a significant decline in service standards. The changes are noticeable across virtually all key areas. The breakfast, which previously met the standards of a five-star hotel, is now significantly reduced. The selection is limited, the variety has been cut back, and the quality of the ingredients is evidently lower. Even seemingly minor details, such as the reduction in the size of beverage glasses, create the impression of systematic cost-cutting at the expense of guests. The overall experience no longer reflects the reputation of a premium international brand. I also find the newly introduced charge for access to the wellness area — even for in-house guests — completely unacceptable. For a hotel of this category and price level, this decision significantly diminishes the overall value of the stay and appears to be yet another attempt to maximize revenue without regard for guest comfort. The organization of front desk services has also deteriorated considerably. The closure of the executive reception has led to noticeably longer waiting times and a clear reduction in comfort and efficiency during check-in and check-out. When I raised this issue, I was informed that these changes were required by the new management. If that is indeed the case, the direction in which the hotel is heading is deeply concerning. Overall, I have the impression that under the new ownership, the hotel has abandoned the standards that were once associated with its name. The current level of service does not correspond to the price or to the reputation of the Hilton brand. It is disappointing to see a once high-quality hotel turning into an average property relying primarily on its past reputation and brand recognition.

Overwhelmed

To who it may concern, After arriving in prague for first time for new year break, i came to explore and restart the year 2026 with new experience and healthy habbits.I made my way to hilton fitness centre where i was greeted by Katryn .what a smile what an honour she soon had me signed up to a 30 day offer to attend the fitness and spa .she made it sound nessarrary valuable and easy.over the month i continued to meet her at the front desk. each time with a warm welcome a little exchange of comfort conversation and a great personality. I quickly realized this young lady is going to excel in her career to the top and anything she decides to put her efforts towards. What an asset to team she surly is. Soon after i meet another amazing young employee this one was Filip Another strong character who was so encouraging to my new dedication to fitness.allways positive allways helpful. I am not sure how the hilton conducts there recruitment but wow any hotel or business should or would be envious of what you have in these 2 .what i liked was when nobody was watching they would continue to be busy fix things and use there time at work in the right manner. I really hope they thrive in there careers but most importantly that they are helped and encouraged to go far..i dont wright reviews ever so this must be taken very serious in the most uplifting and complementary way .what a special Place what a special team.

Excellent Hotel

Lovely hotel. Clean and well Looked after. The room was comfortable and staff were polite and very helpful. We had breakfast included in our stay, the food was very good, plenty of choices from hot meals, bacon, sausages, freshly made omelettes, to pancakes, cereal, yoghurts etc. can’t fault our stay and would definitely return.

Lovely hotel, and everyone has been very helpful and friendly. Upon check in they realised it was my husbands birthday and shortly after a bottle of champagne and little cake was delivered to the room.

Good experience

Overall this is a fabulous hotel. Great facilities and stunning to look at. Food was great and room was lovely, close to loads of attractions. However, staff at times came across as rude and slightly condescending. Check in and check out were both very slow processes. A member of the housekeeping staff opened our room at about 8:40am for room service which woke us up. Our first night, we ate in the Hop House bar & restaurant. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and the waitress asked would we prefer the bottle. We agreed but never specified the type we would like. I went to the bar straight away after and asked if it could be a chardonnay, when another rude barman said it was impossible to change the wine as the entire bill would have to be void. This to me made no sense as we had just ordered and the bottle of wine was unopened, I saw the waitress taking it out of the fridge. He argued back for a bit and I just gave in. We then had to pay much extra for a type of wine we did not want. The food was good and service was quick but we left with a slightly sour taste about the wine.
