My husband and I have just returned from the Hilton Prague, we have been many times over the years, but this time things had changed, sadly not for the better. Check in was fine – the receptionist eventually smiled. We had to request someone to come and unlock the balcony in our room (Executive floor) – very strange and worrying. Room: Spotless and cleaned/replenished every day, well done housekeeping! (Can't say if it was due to the generous tips). We were so disappointed with the following cutbacks which we had been happy with over the years and encouraged us back: Pool, now too cold to swim in. Hot Tub had been removed. No turn down service or personal touches as before ie: chocolates on the pillows/weather reports – little things that made Prague Hilton special. The Hop House Bar opens at 5pm leaving you with only the Cafe to have a beer/food in - no other choices. The Seasons restaurant we were told by reception, had just gone into liquidation, so no option for a gourmet experience like before. In Room Dining: We have never experienced a hotel, especially a Hilton, to not offer room service throughout the day – you can only order between 5pm – 11pm. Breakfast? You can ONLY order if you are up between 7 – 10.30am to order for the NEXT day on the app, when we arrived the night before it was too late to order anything. I called reception to ask if I could book breakfast for the next day and was told I would have to book via the app in the morning! Executive Lounge: Thoroughly disappointing. For many years we experienced varied finger sandwiches/cakes and light bites served here throughout the day, now however, you are only offered tea/coffee/juice and some bowls of nuts/crisps. Alcohol was always available throughout the day before, but now there is only a “Happy Hour” from 5 – 7pm (Prompt!) with limited drinks, some cuscus dishes, cheese and one warm galosh filled with battered cauliflower – very poor. It would seem that ”Happy Hour” translated to patrons as “Drink as much as you can in a short time, because you're limited to where you can go in the hotel for a drink" or even "Drink as much as you can as you paid for it" All in all, we are very sad to say this will be our last visit to the Hilton Prague Atrium. Not a 5 star experience any more which is so very sad. It's a beautiful hotel asthetically, but now, that's really all it has to offer. We paid extra to experience the executive floor again and wish now we had chosen to spend our money somewhere that would reflect our expectations.

Be careful of the lies of the reception staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Arrived 4 hours early, politely asked if our room was ready on the off chance. Natalie responded like i'd asked her to go and visit the queen. The attitude and rudeness was wild. So I said no worries, see you between 2:30-3. Came back at 2:35 and asked if our room was ready. Yes it was. I then asked if there were any upgrades available ( didn't mind paying ) there was quite a nice room available. £600 extra for 3 days!!! The trip didn't even cost that. So when I said no, she quickly said we could do £500. Still a ridiculous fee. Declined. Then, when asked can we keep our original room Natalie said it wasn't ready anymore??? Hmmm. No worries, so after Natalie disappeared after 5 minutes I went and asked another member of reception staff. ' Your room has been ready since 2pm ' I said Natalie said it wasn't ready 5 minutes ago. He laughed and smiled. Obviously as I said no to the ridiculous upgrade price, Natalie thought she'd then make me wait even though the room was ready. Very very naughty behaviour. Anyway, moving on. £230 was taken from me for a pre holding transaction incase we used room service. I think that's way too much. £100 is more than enough. Doubt we'll see the £230 again.. Apart from that the stay was ok. The days of Prague being very cheap have gone. Average Steak £30. Average pint, £5. It's very similar to UK. Breakfast was ok. Extremely busy on weekends. To have 3 staff standing on the host point doing nothing seems a bit excessive but hey ho. Restaurant again is ok. Food is ok. Everything's just ok. Overall, definitely wouldn't stay again due to the experience at check in. Ruined our stay knowing Natalie was prepared to watch us sit opposite her knowing the room was ready because we'd wasted 1 minute of her time asking about a £600 upgrade😂😂 Poor.

Never again… poor service and attitude, very over priced for what you get. Still waiting for our pre authorisation money

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Very rude from the start… Then had to pay £230 on my card so if I use any room service or utilities at the hotel it would automatically come out of my account.. even now after 7 days waiting, this still hasn’t been refunded back into our account? The room was nice but the toilet was broken and had to get maintenance (after a days wait) No hand towels left for us, the shower gel was empty, had to go and buy some. Had to keep asking the maids (every morning) for Coffee and milk as this was never topped up, it was embarrassing to ask for 4 days in a row, then when she gave me some it was like I was asking for Gold!! The Lifts… well were do we start, what a complete load of nonsense they are, scan your card then walk to a different lift (if you’re quick enough) To say it’s a 5 start, I’m not too sure, we’ve stayed in better 3/4 stars to be honest. This is the first time we’ve left a review as we’re very easy going and take things in our stride, but unfortunately on the occasion feel like we owe it to other travellers on our experience. Will definitely visit Pargue again but not at this hotel, there are better hotels near by at less money as well.

Great hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Hilton Prague is centrally placed with a short walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is rock solid. Everything seems to work flawlessly from checking in to service at the restaurant. The staff is friendly and efficient. What I liked best about the whole experience is how efficient and easy it is to be a guest at the hotel. I have been here before and will definitely come back again.

Worst customer service ever very rude and unprofessional

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The only good / friendly person in our stay was the reception young lady from cyprus who was very friendly the time we arrived and checked us in and the people who take the bags to the room on arrival and departure day , other than that all services in hotel was extremely bad .The house keeping team extremely rude , they dont put us water / tea when used or finished , mugs and bedsheets doesn’t get changed or cleaned. Nothing gets to be cleaned during ur stay!!!! When you call reception or house keeping if you need towels or water they shout to you !!!!!! As if ur asking for a Favor honestly worst experience i had in a hotel from a long time very disappointing wouldnt recommend at all. If you keep calling reception they dont help you as well and even the manager who we called couldn’t change anything from the house keeping unprofessionalism although he knew that we dont get cleaned towels or water bottles for the room !! So i guess if u want to experience a bad service and rude attitude hilton prague is ur destination!!
