Hotel NH Collection Prague Carlo IV

The NH Carlo IV was an excellent choice for our stay in Prague. Its location close to the train station is ideal for those arriving by train, while the hotel also offers a secure private underground car park for guests arriving by car. This was an important criterion for us, especially as we were travelling with a large vehicle, which can quickly become an issue with centrally located hotels in Prague. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many of the city’s famous sights. The building itself is simply magnificent—a beautiful historic property with a lot of character. Our room was excellent: clean, comfortable and very well maintained. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the handwritten welcome note and the delicious little chocolates. The customer service was impeccable, and the entire staff was attentive, friendly and genuinely caring. And what can I say about the breakfast? Absolutely outstanding! There is a huge buffet offering both an impressive variety and excellent quality, as well as a small à la carte menu. Everything is accompanied by live classical music, with a different performance each day, which makes the experience even more special. The fitness and wellness facilities are also well worth mentioning. The gym is quite good, and the heated swimming pool is a real bonus. Their system for managing access to the pool works particularly well: you simply indicate when you plan to arrive, which helps manage the number of guests and keeps the experience pleasant and relaxing. In short, an excellent choice. This is definitely the hotel I would choose again for my next stay in Prague.

We had a wonderful stay at NH Collection Prague and couldn’t recommend it enough! The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the city centre, whilst still feeling slightly removed from the busier areas. The building itself is beautiful, with a grand feel throughout, and the lobby in particular is really impressive. We were visiting for my partner’s birthday and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a beautiful, large suite. The room was fantastic, with two separate rooms and a large bathroom. The hotel had also left some lovely sweet treats and a bottle of fizz in the room, which was such a thoughtful touch and really helped make our trip special. We were also given breakfast for both mornings of our stay, which was a lovely surprise. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. We also really enjoyed the lobby bar, the drinks were great despite being slightly more expensive, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the evenings, making it a great place to relax after a day exploring freezing Prague. The hotel has good facilities too. We enjoyed using the indoor pool and gym, which had a good range of equipment, though it is small. Make sure you book a pool slot in advance. One thing worth noting is that the hotel does host corporate events, so there can sometimes be quite a few people working on laptops in the lobby area. This didn’t bother us too much, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re looking for a particularly quiet lobby or to enjoy a day drink in the lobby on a working day. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The thoughtful birthday touches, beautiful room, excellent staff and great facilities made our stay really memorable. We’d definitely stay here again, especially for a winter trip to Prague and found the hotel to be very good value!

I booked a Premium room with through Amex travel and was “upgraded” to a premium deluxe room. The room seemed significantly smaller than described with several carpet stains and a desk that was damaged. Upon reviewing the information about the room, advertised by the hotel on Amex Travel- the room objectively did not meet the specifications, specifically in that it was smaller than advertised (less than 200 sq ft). Visually- the room itself does not match any of the images provided at booking. This isn’t an accusation or argument- it is simply a fact. I did not receive the room I paid for.
