The Carlo IV welcomes its guests in a timeless way. Wrapped in a fabled atmosphere, it captivates with the refinement of its details: from the rooms to the restaurant, from the Business Center to the Cigar Bar, the mosaic bottom pool, everything is presented with a refined elegance that characterizes the hotel, amongst the most prestigious of the Czech capital. The stuccoes, the splendor of marble, classic motifs, precious woods and antique furnishings: if Prague is the city of alchemists, the Boscolo Prague is its enchanted palace.

Recently stayed at NH Collection Prague Carlo IV and had a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an opulent lobby, a lovely spa and a great pool. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. Special thanks to Yosif in guest relations, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and to Edward, who checked us in and couldn’t have been more accommodating from the moment we arrived in the taxi to the time we reached our room. Would definitely recommend this hotel

I would like to thank Yosif, Christina, Arten, Daria (Service), Alex (Spa). From check-in to check-out, amazing customer service. Total assistance, tips & guides about Prague. Personally I would rate this hotel 5 star. Its location, structure makes its history live thru its undeniable superb guest relations and customer service. This experience will be one for the book to make sure I will come back where it feels like home. Once again, thank you so much!

The hotel is in a beautifully restored, historical building, the lobby area is amazing, staff and services on a highest level. Perfect location close to the train station and the old town. Simply the best choice in Prague.

Very dated, A/C was almost non-existent - worked on it several times, problems with Wi-Fi Staff was top-of-the line, Spa was nice but crazy rules that you must make an appointment to use pool. There was 2 people in whole spa and we had to make an appointment for 15 minutes later and just sit there..........? no one came or left while we did

The hotel itself is a beautiful neo-Renaissance hotel originally constructed in the 1890's and last renovated in 2022 - but in 2025 showing just a few signs of wear. There are 3 guest elevators so that is adequate. However, due to conversion of the building into a hotel, the elevator level is lower than the levels with rooms, necessitating go up a few stairs to the level with the rooms. This is not easy with heavy luggage but the hotel staff are exceptional and a porter will quickly offer to help even if not asked!! The restaurant where the breakfasts are held is the 1890 Restaurant, a very elegant place. Despite the elegance and beauty of the restaurant, its entrance is blocked by the very large integrated (one piece) sitting cluster that is directly in front of the only entrance to the restaurant so one must squeeze by the sitting complex to get into the restaurant. No doubt this is due to the management's determination to have a perfectly symmetrical arrangement of furniture in the lobby. If this central complex is pushed a little closer to the bar, it would open up the area in the lobby and make the restaurant entrance more accessible. The breakfast is among the best I have experienced. On every day that I was there, there was live string music, a harpist or guitarist who provided a very quiet and artful vibe that added great pleasure to the breakfast. The assortment of foods, breads, fresh fruit, etc. were excellent with 2 super automatic espresso machines for self-service, if desired. I had a deluxe room but found its size to be ordinary. While is was very comfortable, it had only one little chair with a lamp or side table so it was not very useful. The bed was excellent - firm but not too firm. I was there in August and while not super hot, it was very humid. In the USA, hotels would be using their AC and rooms would have independent AC. But this hotel, like almost all European hotels have a central AC with a central cooling system. So, quite the thermostat may appear to work and the fan blows, the air is not cool. The hotel is located very close to all the key attractions. I was able to easily walk to Old Town Square that is near many attractions. I felt very safe walking in the area around the hotel Also, there is a key tram stop in front of the hotel so by using the tram, one can get to virtually anyplace in the city. Public transportation is free for seniors (65 and older). All-in-all, I was very pleased with this hotel and the hotel staff's friendliness and helpfulness are really exceptional.
