What a wonderful hotel with courteous staff. We stayed in the Junior suite which was beautiful. On the first night there was an issue with the air con, this was rectified immediately. The hotel is in the ideal location, within walking distance of major tourist site’s so you can view at 6am or 12am.We will definitely be staying at this hotel again. Do not let the odd bad review deter you from the Irongate.

Sorry I am late in leaving a review for this beautiful hotel! Both my partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in November 2024 for my birthday and thought the hotel was absolutely beautiful. We had upgraded our room to a junior suite and couldn’t believe how pretty the room was once checked in. The wood features made it feel as if we had stepped back in time and really fitted in with the old vibe you get from Prague. The bed was huge and comfortable and was perfect to have a cuddle then roll over have our own space after 😂 The breakfast at the hotel was lovely and plentiful and really set you up for a day of exploring. The hotel is less than a 2 minute walk from the Astronomical Clock and is perfectly situated for discovering Prague on foot. The only downside of our stay was we had a ground floor room and the street it backed on to was very noisy with people constantly walking through and being loud at all times of the day and rubbish collection starting early. That being said it would not put us off returning and staying at the hotel and we are potentially planning a return trip for the Christmas markets in 2026!

We couldn’t have asked for more. Booked for our 25th wedding anniversary. Friendly welcome, great spacious room and bathroom. The flowers and chocolates I had requested were excellent. The location couldn’t be bettered 2 minutes from the old town square. The staff in particular were so helpful. If I came back to Prague I would definitely plan on staying here.

Iron gate Hotel is in a heritage Building right in the middle of Old Town. Property has an old world charm to it. every Corner of the property / room has an antique touch to it. We took location of the place is worth every penny. Major attractions are at a walking distance. Rooms were serviced daily with complete Cleanliness. we booked a deluxe Suite, honestly which was less like a suite and more like a premium room but no compliants as it has all the amenities required. Important Notes: 1. if you are arriving by cab, then please note that the cab may not be able to take you all the way up to the hotel gate. Last 100 MTRS you may have to walk with your luggage. 2. credit card details are required at the checkin to secure the Hotel for any damages etc. (rare to find these days) 3. Other than the city tax, there is a mandatory 100 Koruna tip per day. this came as a surprise.

Booked via Love Holidays, and the first thing to comment was the cost, 2 adults and 2 under 18’s, flights and then an amazing hotel suite was 1200 GBP which included breakfast for 3 nights. The hotel is in a fantastic location in Old Town Prague, a couple of minutes walk to the main square and about 10 minutes to Charles Bridge. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Good service all round, from the front desk to how well the rooms are maintained and the whole place presented. We stayed in a Goliath Suite, 2 rooms, the main one having a four poster bed, a good bathroom with jacuzzi bath, spacious, ornate and decent aircon seeing as it was topping 30+ degrees each day. Breakfast was the usual buffet style with a very good selection of food options and drinks included as part of the stay. You could also order for extra cost more options from a breakfast menu, but the buffet was enough for us. The room had a coffee machine and a well stocked fridge if we had wanted to buy anything further. The room was serviced daily, fresh towels etc, never a complaint. Attached to the hotel is The Deer restaurant and bar, sensibly priced in both. The bar is well stocked with a fantastic selection of drinks and bar staff are brilliant. We did try the restaurant and I can not over stress that it is a must try, the food is amazing and I think very reasonably priced considering the quality and choice you get. Simply put, we will be going back to Prague, we will stay at this hotel and will eat at the restaurant. Brilliant location, lovely staff, great value for money.
