Prague is famously known for being one of the most romantic cities in the world. Let your heart soar as you enter into the MaMaison Hotel Riverside, an intimate sanctuary on the left bank of the Vltava River, and uncover a place where falling in love is easy. With its striking Art Nouveau facade and elegant belle epoque interiors, the hotel is a work of art. It is also a place of great comfort and hospitality, where most of the 45 guest rooms and suites boast fairy tale views of the city's towers and turrets.

The hotel is in a great location, along the bank of the river in the Prague 5 district. All of the wonderful city sights are within an easy walk from the hotel. The building is a bit on the older side, but well maintained. Be prepared to have to carry your luggage up a few steps when entering the hotel. The breakfast was good, nothing that I would call memorable. My major concern is the attitude of the hotel staff and the variation in the size of the rooms. Had booked a deluxe room, based upon the photos on their website and on Trip Advisor. The room in the photo was is spacious and very inviting. Upon checking in the room I was given was very small and no appeal what so ever. There was barely room for myself and my suitcase. I believe that that I was given a Standard Room, with the hope that I would not express any concern. In addition, I had booked a room with one larger bed, but the room that was given had two very small beds. Was initially told that they were full and that there was nothing that I could do so tough luck. The front desk also said that they had no ability to see what bed type was selected at the time of booking. This personally makes no sense to me at all. After expressing my disappointment , requesting the email of the General Manager along with a lengthy discussion, I was given another Deluxe room but it left me with a feeling that they knowing were playing bait and switch. Probably will not return to this hotel because of games that they played. Plainly speaking, I don't thrust the hotel staff.

Location and view were great. Hotel reception staff weren’t very friendly on arrival. Not even a smile. I booked a junior suite, this was a spacious room and good size bed and bathroom. However the room had two adjoining rooms which were occupied and the walls were paper thin. This meant I was awoken in the early hours of the morning both nights by people in the next room - very inappropriate noises. The cleaners were also very noisy in the mornings - I understand they have to do their jobs but they were constantly banging doors and chatting loudly from early hours. I therefore will not be returning.

Our room was absolutely spotless and spacious. We did have a room overlooking the river, while it was a little cold the windows can be opened for a breeze. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice, the food was warm but not left lying for a long time. Eggs are cooked to perfection. It’s like the food you would prepare at home. Well done kitchen as so many hotels offer bland uninteresting food with no thought.!! I’d recommend this hotel as it’s a short walk across the bridge to old and new town and all of the sights to see.

Went end of March into early April and it was a lovely solo trip. The hotel was basic but clean. Drainage a bit slow in the sink and bath but nothing that caused an issue. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, spoke perfect English. They have an Airport Shuttle too which is very convenient for solo travelers. Coffee machine was very welcome, not something that is available in all hotels, for example in Spain! Mini bar was useful to store tapas and snacks. The hotel is walking distance from the Charles Bridge about 10-15 mins depending on whether you stroll or walk, browse or not! I even found an express Tesco to my surprise not far away in another direction! The wine was great! Unfortunately they don't have a restaurant on site and the "bar" is served from the Reception area with seating across the way from the reception Reception. (Not very private). I'm not sure about getting breakfast outside of the hotel - something I would consider next time I go to Prague again as the breakfast in the hotel wasn't amazing but it filled a gap. Coffee was good! By the way, don't expect a double bed - they are twin beds pushed together with a double sheet - meaning a "gap" forms and you get single duvets..... Balcony views were amazing! It was a special trip for me and I had requested riverside view and was very happy with that. See photos. Tips: 1. Places to visit: Gallery of Steel Figures. 2. Astronomical Clock must be seen. 3. Prague Castle a must. 4. Do a river cruise! It's amazing 5. The Train Station is structurally beautiful and worth having a look. (The older station not the modern one). 6. There is a Shopping centre with a lot of floors somewhere in the city - I came across it while rambling, couldn't tell you where it is but it's there and has Lush, Bath & Body Works etc! Proof is in the pictures;-) 7. Wear flat shoes for walking as many streets and pavements are uneven and cobbled. My back was in trouble 8. Watch out for rip off tourist prices in some cafe/restaurants. Some charge crazy money like €4 for a soft drink eg Coca Cola small bottle and €26 for a club sandwich?! I walked out and went elsewhere! Ended up at Sladká Cesta - Caffé & Bistro which was lovely and normally priced for a city center eatery! Friendly staff too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mamaison. The hotel is in a great location just across the bridge from the dancing building. The room we were in (314) was spacious and quiet, with all amenities you would expect. The shower was hot and powerful and there were a variety of complimentary toiletries for use. We had no reason to have much interaction with hotel staff however the brief contact we had, everyone was polite and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Prague.

The Riverside Hotel Prague is an excellent small luxury hotel. The rooms where a generous size, very clean, lovely bathrooms and had the most comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel personnel were very courteous, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend staying at the Riverside Hotel.
