Good choice

A pleasant hotel located across the river from the Dancing House. I spent one night here. My room was quite small but had everything I needed. Although it was situated on the ground floor right next to the lift, it was quiet there. Breakfast was buffet style. The selection was standard but had everything I like. I would like to mention the very professional and pleasant attitude of the staff in this small restaurant where breakfast was served.

Broken/rubbish aircon and two terrible nights' sleep

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I'd like to leave this hotel a good review, but unfortunately the first 2 nights were dreadful: - Air con didn't work - the receptionist and the manager both claimed it was working, but the room was absolutely boiling, and I definitely had the right setting (per the receptionist's instructions). - It's also quite galling to stand in a room dripping with sweat while someone insists the aircon is working. There was an immediate and obvious improvement when I eventually managed to change rooms (at midnight on the second night) - They'd actually run out of fans. Not surprising, as while I was asking to change rooms someone else was complaining their aircon wasn't working - so it's clearly an issue. - The light in the wardrobe didn't switch off when the door closed. This meant light was blazing through the gap in the wardrobe doors, right onto the bed. I did contact the manager about the above, and they were polite, but largely dismissed my complaint. Which is fair enough - all I can do is share my experience, and it was an unpleasant one - and warn any visitors to check the aircon immediately if you are staying here!

Elegant location, spacious rooms, but not quite a 5-star experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel benefits from an excellent location in a quiet and elegant area near the Vltava River. The room was large, comfortable and spacious, offering a pleasant stay and good conditions for rest. However, for a hotel marketed as 5 stars, several details were missing. Basic amenities such as slippers, bathrobes, shoe-cleaning accessories and vanity kits were not provided. Housekeeping seemed limited mainly to replacing towels rather than delivering a complete room refresh. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The selection lacked variety and some pastries, especially the croissants on Monday, June 1st, did not seem fresh. On the positive side, the staff was attentive, courteous and willing to help throughout the stay. Overall, a comfortable hotel with a very good location and professional service, but currently closer to a solid 4-star experience than a true 5-star standard.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures online, this hotel is nothing like this! Avoid

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

We panic booked this hotel at about 1am due to a flight delay. Used booking.com which showed 5 stars and pictures on impeccable rooms. This wasn’t reality! The room was basic 90s chipboard and tired. The bath had chunks out of the enamel. The toilet shower wet room situation was giving orange is the new black. The carpets in the corridors were FILTHY and it stank of cigarettes. Overall needed a massive revamp which interestingly it’s claiming to have. Should have booked in the Allure where we were staying for our trip but thought being marginally closer to the airport might be beneficial. No. Big mistake. Just avoid this place. The pictures are fabricated nonsense!

The Riverside Hotel Prague is an excellent small luxury hotel. The rooms where a generous size, very clean, lovely bathrooms and had the most comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel personnel were very courteous, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend staying at the Riverside Hotel.
