A beautiful hotel located next to the Charles Bridge in Prague. I stayed for 2 nights and hope to give a fair opinion. Pros: - Dominique and Oxana from front desk, Beate from cafe and the food manager, evening front desk British guy(super cool) welcomed me to this beautiful property. They are all an amazing team and very welcoming and positive. This whole thing is run by a few people and most of them are amazing. - I was given a bigger room as requested for an upgrade which had a lot of charm and potential and a private balcony which I did appreciate a lot. - There was a welcome amenity of bottle of wine and a mini bar with soft drinks, etc which was also quite nice to have. - The mattress is comfortable for a good night sleep for dark hours and the property is quiet in the evening even with its central location. - Location of this place is amazing, you walk to the Charles bridge in under 2 mins. It is an old Pachta palace which has been partly renovated and partly not. - Interiors courtyards, the walking gallery and other common parts of the hotel are really beautiful, room I got which was called the "Royal suite" or " Pachta palace Suite". The room itself was fine, the history of the place is what makes it special and that is been told by every staff member each time you have a question about the place. Space to improve: - I think the room was quite badly maintained, there was glass on the first night in bathroom that got in my foot, and to my utter bad fortune I broke a glass next morning which could not be clean after 3 attempts . - The wooden floors are severely broken and the personally I have stayed in over 1200, 5 star hotels and over 200 heritage properties, but never received a room in such quality. The washbasin was cracked, the toilet walls were damaged with holes, the bathroom area has a shower with no curtain, no exhaust in bathroom. Small mini fridge is very loud. It was an upgrade but I was paying almost 500 euros for 2 nights and it was not worth it honestly. If it was not for the kind staff, I would give 2 stars for the room alone. I respect the history of the place but if your room is not up kept in a 5 star manner, which many other rooms including fresco rooms and the rooms in renovated parts were really nicely kept(and were available on the day as I checked online later, but not offered to me); it is not worth it for this particular room. I think this experience could have been much better and not this unfortunate, if they gave a better room and renovated room. I was shown an alternative room in deluxe category but it was also quite old and stuffy honestly, I walked out in 30 seconds of being in there. - No bathtub in "suite", no swimming pool(understandable history), BLACK MOULD in shower area(have pictures), bugs coming out of toilet and bathroom each day, low quality amenities, I mean no offence to Rituals toiletries but this is not a 3 star hotel so please quit that. Cheap tiles in the bathroom and toilet of the room. The bathrobes have seen better days please get new ones. - No turn down service, and NO BLINDS in the room, it is bright early morning and the staff was surprised I wanted to have closed curtains, this is something every 5 star has, a turn down service, you cannot have bright rooms with bad curtains and no blinds. Not every one sleeps deep. - This hotel has a lot of potential, I mean incredible location, most of the staff great but because they don't have any branding from ACCOR yet, all the faults can be visibly seen if you are a regular to Accor. Once branding will come a certain level of service would be expected and hopefully provided by the management. All in all a fantastic location, a great property with a lot of potential, definitely not a 5 star yet, but has the potential to be one of the best places in Prague, provided right approach and correct branding and some input to amenities and outlook. I do wish to see how this place grows and hopefully visit it again on my next trip to see the improvements. I sincerely thank all the team members who were friendly. I am writing this again here and want to make it clear that there were better rooms in the hotel, and as they mentioned the historical place has challenges to renovate, basic hygiene of mould and broken things on floors and cracked washbasins are not in code of archaeological upgrades once they have been installed in the recent years, which is the case here. Also, late check out was not a confusion, however frustrating, I do give my review unbiased and honestly, as always.

We like the Location is very near to some of tourist attractions, the room is good and clean. The AC is cool enough for the summer. But i have a complaint for the water bottle in our room, i found that there is lipstick on the water outlet of the bottle. Some customers did not understand that those bottle can not be drink directly, they can use glass. As for the hotel staff have to check the cleanliness of all the bottle not just fill them with water without checking

We were very well looked after by the entire hotel team. Every member of staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. We especially appreciated the handwritten welcome card in our room, a lovely personal touch. When I mentioned at check-in that it was my mom’s birthday the following day and the reason for our trip, they kindly left wine and cake in the room, which made her very happy. The hotel itself is beautiful, but there were a few comfort-related issues. The room did not stay warm enough at night, and the bathroom design was also somewhat problematic: The shower had only a single glass panel separating it from the toilet area, while the other side remained completely open and in the same level that the rest of the space. Because of the shower's position and the fact that one of the shower head settings sprayed forward rather than downward, water would splash to the entire bathroom. In the end, we had to use the handheld shower head and hold it throughout the shower to avoid flooding the space. The sinks also lacked countertop space for toiletries and personal items. For reference, we stayed in Room 103. Access required crossing an open courtyard, meaning we were exposed to the weather each time we entered or left the room. As it rained during our stay, this was inconvenient, although umbrellas were provided. Cleanliness was generally very good (the bathroom was spotless and the bed was always impeccably made), but we did find a pill on the room floor, suggesting it had not been properly cleaned. I also felt that the room lacked adequate mirror lighting. There was a small wardrobe with a mirror on the inside of the door, but there was no direct light above it. Even with all the room lights turned on, visibility was still poor, making tasks such as applying makeup quite difficult. I had to choose between having a proper surface to place my makeup while applying it but poor lighting (the wardrobe mirror), or better lighting but no surface space (the bathroom sink area). In addition, it was not really possible to see one's full reflection, and the mirror’s location behind the outward-opening bathroom door made it impractical whenever someone was entering or leaving the bathroom. Also, the extra socket near the bed was not working, which meant I had to unplug the bedside lamp to charge my phone. There was one final issue: Upon arrival, our group of four guests, staying in two rooms, ordered four complimentary “Welcome Drinks” as I am a Silver member and both rooms were booked under the same membership number. At the time, I was unaware that the benefit only applied to the room where the member is actually staying. Unfortunately, this was not explained to us by the staff member who served the drinks; I showed her the voucher in the app and she confirmed that everything was fine. We were told that all the drinks were covered by the voucher. While mistakes can happen, the matter was also not mentioned during check-out (we were told that everything was settled), and we were not informed of any additional charge at check-out. About a week after checking out, I noticed that my credit card had been charged for all four drinks. Not only was the charge made without prior communication, but it also did not take into account the two complimentary drinks that I was entitled to as a Silver member. I had to contact the hotel myself to understand what had happened. Once I did, the hotel corrected the issue and refunded the amount corresponding to the two complimentary drinks, although without acknowledging or apologizing for the mistake. While I appreciate that the matter was eventually resolved, I believe it would have been preferable to communicate with us before processing an unexpected charge, especially when there appeared to be a misunderstanding regarding the benefits included with the reservation. Overall, despite these issues, our stay was very positive thanks to the excellent staff and the hotel’s location. This feedback is intended as constructive suggestions to improve the guest experience.

I recently visited this restaurant with my girlfriend. It's located by the river and was very easy to find. The courtyard is beautifully set out and creates a lovely atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the gentleman at reception was welcoming, smiling, and happy to greet guests. The food was very good. To start, we ordered a Croque Monsieur and the beef tartare, both of which were prepared to a high standard and thoroughly enjoyable. For the mains, we chose the schnitzel and the risotto. Personally, I preferred the schnitzel, while I found the risotto a little rich for my palate, although it was still well executed. For dessert, we had the chocolate fondant, which was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to finish the meal. Our hostess was absolutely superb—engaging, intelligent, personable, and incredibly funny. Her warmth and professionalism elevated the entire dining experience. The food was very good, but our hostess was exceptional. She turned what would have been a great meal into a genuine 10/10 experience. Highly recommended.
