Not for celiacs

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I recently stayed for 8 nights at this hotel through a Voyage Privé offer. I do not know the actual room rates, but considering the package price, the value for money was excellent. The double room was well equipped, with a coffee machine and complimentary capsules. Guests also have access to a complimentary happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. on the floor (with drinks and light snacks), as well as a dispenser with water and a machine for coffee, cappuccino, tea, etc. My booking also included two hours of free gym access and complimentary room service. Housekeeping is carried out daily, which is appreciated, though at times the cleaning could have been more thorough—for example, it was possible to find hair in the bathroom or small crumbs on the floor. This is a minor detail, but one that can affect the overall impression. The staff were always very kind and helpful. However, the main weakness of this hotel is the gluten-free breakfast. While the breakfast room offers a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes, the gluten-free corner is almost nonexistent, limited, and unfortunately exposed to cross-contamination. The only bread available (sandwich bread and seeded bread) was placed in the middle of the regular bread section, with shared tongs, and the toaster was also the same for both gluten and gluten-free bread—making contamination unavoidable. The same applies to the only two types of cornflakes. None of the other foods displayed (for example, cooked ham) were clearly labeled as gluten-free, so it was impossible to know whether they were safe. Before arriving, I asked if the hotel was organized for gluten-free guests, but unfortunately, the reality did not match the assurances I received. When I raised this with two members of staff, they were unable to provide information beyond a smile, which was disappointing. For this reason, if you are celiac, I would not recommend purchasing breakfast at the hotel.

We liked everything about his hotel. Great location, near metro station Andels and short distance to Carls Bridge by tram. Excellent breakfast. Modern and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. This wil be our go-to hotel whenever we visit Prague. Highly recommend.

A comparison between Hilton Prague and Vienna house, Andel, Wyndham, prague

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed in Hilton Prague from 14th July till 18th and joined the tour company and stayed in Vienna House, Andel, Wyndham, Prague. If I give 5 to Hilton, give 2 to Vienna house. The charges are very similar but the room and bathroom size is almost half. Someone may feel clostrophobic in Vienna house. The biggest difference in breakfast. Hilton provide real continental breakfast and a lot of items. The one in Vienna house is horrible. Hilton makes eggs as you like but Vienna house only makes terrible poaches. They declined any other form of breakfast eggs. No fruits in Vienna house. 1st day apple and Orange juices is heavily diluted with water but on day 2, they served fresh oj in 100 ml cups. That was fresh and good. I could not handle the first days diluted juice. The breakfast stuff in Hilton is more accommodative and friendly. Andel Prague Vienna house location has much more restaurants around it compared to Hilton and more types of cuisine choices. Both places, front/desk stuff is very nice. Hilton inside feels much more newer and upgraded compared to Andel Vienna house.

Very impressed with this hotel- fast check in and recognition of loyalty programmes, kind staff- very comfortable and spacious rooms, and very good selection of in room dining and on-site bar and restaurant. Also gym and wellness in the basement. Hotel is very well connected and easy to get around the city.
