We had a small wedding at the Castle. The location was beautiful and very private. Lisa Cormier was an amazing wedding coordinator. She accommodated our group which included babies, toddlers, pre-teens, teens, and my 95 year old grandmother. She was very responsive and made everything perfect. I couldn’t have done it without her. Fonze, the chef, provided one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back for dinner. Even with the menu being fine dining, the portions are very generous and all of our guests loved it. Our waitstaff, Kelly and her counterpart (didn’t catch her name) were also amazing! They provided everything we needed with quick service. They were so kind and patient, especially with all the kids being there. The hotel manager, Andy, is very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and provided everything we needed and we were asked if we needed anything extra. The hotel has beautiful grounds and is well maintained. Beautiful scenery for all the photos! 10/10 would recommend.

The Inn was the Governor of Vermont’s Mansion in the early 1900’s. The Inn is amazing in its craftsmanship & the grounds are beautiful. Wonderful pool by the Aveda Spa. Make reservations as far ahead as possible. The dinners we’ve had were excellent. Large portions! Atmosphere & service on point. In the summer you come to relax. Can drive to Woodstock(40 minutes). Go to Buttermilk Falls or Grafton Cheese. Manchester for outlet shopping…but best to chill!

I am writing this review in regard to the spa. We have been going to both the restaurant and the spa for many years, as I live locally. The restaurant staff are wonderful, and we always go there on special occasions. As for the spa, my last visit which was a gift was a disappointment and will never go back. The spa appointments itself were fine, I was happy. Being lied to however is never okay in my book. As I said I have previously used the spa over a decade or more. I recently experienced a bad fall and also have some joint issues, so I was looking forward to the massage and facial. I was told there was no bathroom on the second floor where spa appointments are held. There absolutely is a bathroom as I have used it in the past. So, for two different staff to claim there was no bathroom as I asked not once but twice and make me walk back down a good amount of stairs and go across past the reception desk to enter back into locker room was frustrating. I tipped well regardless despite this and was happy with my appointments but for that one reason I will never return. I told receptionist I don't like being lied to. From what I gather there was a previous" issue" with a guest using the bathroom, so now it's ONLY for staff. I think that's a poor decision, these guests who are paying good money for these spa treatments to be treated that way. And if I wasn't trying to relax and enjoy my appointments, I would have been more confrontational since I saw actually the bathroom that still exists right at the end of the hallway, that I have previously had used in past. It seems like townie mentality and not the Aveda experience that you offer. No thank you......

A dream wedding venue and experience supported by a remarkably professional, caring, and detail-oriented team. The spa was a fantastic experience. Wonderful staff interactions and amenities for us and our wedding guests to enjoy throughout the weekend. The Castle is perfectly situated to provide a private and intimate experience while just a short drive to shops and restaurants. We have visited the venue in every season and can attest that it is beautiful no matter the time of year. We look forward to returning to stay at Castle Hill Resort & Spa for many years to come.

We stayed here 3 nights. No USB ports anywhere. No room service, not even a tidy up! We requested to have our beds made, NO! against our policy. To get clean towels you must put your used ones in the hall, they forgot to bring us new clean towels. No exceptions, so if you are intimate with your partner you're stuck with the old sheets as long as you are there. Very dated rooms, funky smells in the elevator, the ice machine and men's room were out of service. . And NO breakfast offered. Avoid this hotel if you are staying more than 1 night! We will not go back, and this was the first hotel that treated their guests like this, you go on vacation thinking you will not have to do what you do at home, i.e. make your bed, get clean sheets, and clean towels. And when asking at the desk for an exception NO! And no apology either, WHAT ARE YOU PAYING FOR? When we told some of the locals where we were staying,100% said you can do better at many other places.
