Located just 20 minutes from the world’s largest waterfalls, Awasi’s new 14-room lodge is situated on the banks of the River Iguazú, surrounded by the Atlantic Rainforest. Each villa is assigned with a private guide and 4WD, allowing guests to explore at their own pace, visiting where they want, in their own time. Awasi Iguazú is the perfect spot to enjoy the world famous National Park and its surroundings, while also enjoying especially crafted excursions that go beyond the falls. After days spent exploring the impressive natural scenery in and around the Iguazú Falls, return to Awasi for a swim in your own private plunge pool, a drink at the bar in the main lodge and long evening meals in our restaurant.

Excellent!!!! Not enough words to express how great the staff were to us. Highly recommend to people traveling with family or alone. We flew into Brazil side and went across the border to Awasi. Tour guides were excellent. Lodge staff very accommodating with our picky eaters. Had a really nice surprise on our last night at dinner that touched us so much. If you want to see Iguazu Falls, stay here. You won't be disappointed.

This is a truly great experience with knowledgeable guides, great waiters/waitresses, amazing food (kudos to the chef!) and friendly employees everywhere. They are truly accommodating. The facilities are perfect and blend into the area. Couldn't ask for a better 52nd Anniversary. Four nights is the perfect amount of time. You won't be disappointed and everything is all inclusive - they are very generous with the food and drinks! Visiting the falls from Awasi Iguazu is a one of a kind experience - they have their own early morning train to the Devil's Throat walkway so there aren't any crowds while you are there and we saw the huge crowds heading there on our way back. The Brazilian side is definitely worth the ride and the view (you need a Brazil Visa, which is easy to secure). The Jesuit ruins are worth seeing even though it is a long day (about 3 1/2 hours each way) and they pack an amazing heated lunch! There is also horseback riding and several other tour areas around the falls. They are truly amazing and worth seeing. It's a beautiful part of the world and everyone working at Awasi seems happy to be there. You won't be disappointed.

Having traveled extensively (42 countries and counting), we can honestly say that Awasi Iguazú cannot be beat in atmosphere, comfort, service, food/drink, or excursions. Our lodge was stunning, private, and had every amenity we could ask for. Extra bonus points for the exceptional air conditioning/heating system that kept us comfortable from cool rain stormy days to warm/humid days. I don't really know what to say about the food and drinks... we have never been so full because we were unable to leave a morsel or drop from every course! Even my very picky-eater husband was delighted by the choices and surprised by how many things he discovered he loved to eat. The food was just as beautiful as it was delicious to eat. Additionally, I tried drinks made from almost every liquor, and each one was somehow better than the last. Fear not if you're a wine lover because Santi the sommelier selected unbeatable wines, all from Argentina and all from smaller, lesser known regions or vineyards. I took pics of the wine menu to ensure I could remember the names! Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly welcoming, professional, helpful, and kind. Whatever they are doing with hiring/training, they're doing it right! The excursions were well orchestrated and thoughtfully planned. Our guide, Joaquin, is second to none. As a local, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared wonderful stories and information. He let us go at our own pace and have our own space, but was never too far when we needed anything. Give that guy a raise!! It almost feels silly to say, but the falls were indescribably wonderful. They were the reason we came to the Iguazú area, but our stay was undeniably perfect because of Awasi.
