Magical experience

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to visit Awasi. We were not prepared for the amazing personalized hospitality we enjoyed throughout our stay. There is a certain warmth that welcomes you every time you meet any of the staff. Our guide Leandro really went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed all of our activities this included a visit to the Yacui reserve and biking in Puerto Peninsula. The most inspiring tour was the private visit to Devil’s Throat where we had the falls all to ourselves for almost 30 minutes. Back at the resort, the villas are quite spacious and filled with all amenities that you could easily spend the whole day relaxing there. And the restaurant is simply amazing, enjoying gourmet meals at all times with beautiful wine pairings and cocktails from Mr Santi. All of the staff were so accommodating and they should all be commended on their hospitality. We look forward to visiting more Awasi properties in the future.

The Ultimate Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The attention to detail and personalization was beyond what we expected. Every need and want is met before asking. Our guide Mariano was exceptional, smartly suggesting that, since we landed on the Brazil side, we do that loop immediately. The weekend traffic going from Argentina to Brazil would have meant wasted hours in the car if we had done it on another day. He carefully took us through all the options for our other excursions, got us up early on a day the park would open an hour early (the hotel sent a breakfast to our room to enjoy before we left at 6am!) and showed us his favorite memorable places in town too. The food is amazing--we had a special anniversary dinner prepared for us one night. The wine pairings were fantastic too. The entire staff was personable and so friendly. Of course the villa was terrific. The only extra was a very reasonable in-room massage. So great to not have to worry about extra expenses. Hope to try another Awasi destination in the future!

Amazing Experience

Awasi Iguazu was the last leg of our tour of the 3 Awasi lodges. Getting to Awasi Iguazu from Awasi Atacama required an overnight stay in Buenos Aires, but the timing of the flights didn't allow for any sightseeing there. If you follow this itinerary and want to see Buenos Aires, I recommend adding a few days in BA in between Atacama and Iguazu, or after Iguazu. Awasi Iguazu is a beautiful property, and our villa was our favorite of the 3 Awasi properties. As with the other Awasi properties, the guides were exceptional. Our guide, Viki, helped create a great itinerary of excursions. Iguazu Falls is simply amazing, but there is so much more to see and do. What a great place to do jungle hikes! We only spent 3 nights at Awasi Iguazu and in retrospect, I wish we had spent one more night. One thing not to miss are the nightly lectures in the main lodge from local experts on a variety of topics from local history to culture, flora, and fauna. The food is what you would expect - best in class and locally inspired. There were plenty of options to choose from, and the restaurant staff quickly learns what you like and anticipates your needs. I think this is part of Awasi's DNA. Overall, a great experience!

Unforgettable

We were fortunate to stay at all three Awasi's on our latest trip and cannot rate them highly enough. From the minute we landed we were met by Catulina and whisked off to the lodge. All lodges are tastefully decorated and this one was wonderful, as it is situated within the rain forest. We love the fact Awasi provide a private guide who tailors each days activities to what you enjoy. It was extra special to be taken quickly through boarder control and into the Brazilian side of the falls to enter the park before it was opened to the public. Even better to get to the Argentinian side 20 mins ahead of others. An experience I will never forget. Driving across country to kayak was wonderful and the Argentinian barbecue by the lake was exceptional. Catulina and our driver felt like family at the end of our stay. The lodge we stayed in was very private, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Every need is catered for, including the beautiful biscuits and gifts every evening. There was nothing more relaxing than a glass of wine in the spa late afternoon. As with all Awasi's the food was exceptional as was the wine pairing. Service is always attentive and friendly. We highly recommend Awasi and will be back. Thank you.

A perfect three days

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Our Awasi experience was top notch from beginning to end. Our personal tour guide and escort was Mariano. He listened to our interests and planned a perfect 3 day trip to Iguazu Falls and other beautiful locales. The service at the lodge was exceptional. From making the perfect drinks to assuring that we were delighted with the food choices, our interests were always top of mind. Our accommodations were comfortable and we enjoyed the private pool as well as the excellent rain shower and cozy bed. Awasi impressed right up there with Iguazu Falls!!!
