Awasi Iguazu - Relais & Chateaux

Our family of four had a fantastic time at Awasi Iguazú. We owe 100% of it to the incredible staff at this resort. I believe that the word ‘awasi’ means ‘house’ or ‘home’ in Quechua. And the staff here, every single person, made us truly feel like we were welcomed home in this beautiful place. The warmth, kindness, and consideration we received here was second to none. The villas are beautifully appointed, spacious and clean and we loved having the plunge pool to enjoy after our excursions everyday. The surprises left for us during the turndown services were so thoughtful. The food was so good that there are certain dishes my family and I will talk about for years to come as the best we’ve ever had. The chef and his kitchen even prepared an amazing Argentinian asado meal for our last dinner and it was incredible. As I mentioned above, the staff are the heart and soul to this magical place. They seem to interact like family to one another and that kind of warmth certainly transferred down to their guests. Special thanks to our guides Vanesa and Joaquin: Vanesa took such good care of us at every turn. Somehow she knew exactly when we needed a snack, a blanket, a towel, whatever it was, she was a step ahead of us in giving such good care. Joaquin is a wealth of knowledge and kindness. We learned so much from his breadth and depth as a guide. Since Awasi is all-inclusive, we had the pleasure of enjoying all our meals here and therefore getting to know the wonderful dining staff. We had the privilege of meeting the chef on our last night and not only is he incredibly gifted but so humble as well. Santi is a masterful craftsman at the bar - we miss his talent of making liquid magic! Lalo also did an amazing job creating such delicious drinks, both in cocktails and mocktails. Sergio, Juani, and Mariano are wonderful and always had a way of making us feel like we were the only guests in the dining room, even though it was bustling at times. Bravo to all of the servers that we encountered. You are an amazing team that made every meal so enjoyable. A huge thank you to the general managers and the front desk staff (Debbie, Camila, Emilio, Ari, Lucas, and the others that I fail to name - my apologies!) Thank you for your warmth and fantastic hospitality. We are truly grateful to all the staff at Awasi Iguazú for making our trip so memorable.

We had a wonderful experience at Awasi Iguazu. The villas are spectacular - spacious, beautifully designed with a gorgeous terrace and plunge pool which was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. And what sightseeing!!! The falls are truly stunning and the other trips whilst quieter are equally beautiful. Our guide, Daniella, was fantastic. She was incredibly empathetic and gently encouraged me to try experiences that I might otherwise have missed. As a result, I had some truly memorable moments that I will always remember. The restaurant was another highlight - wonderful meals, wine and cocktails. Housekeeping was exceptional- from cleanliness of the rooms, immaculate laundry and magical shoe cleaning- all faultless! A wonderful trip - I have no hesitation in recommending and would love to return one day.

Awasi Iguazú was an absolutely stunning place to stay — easily one of the highlights of our whole Brazil/Argentina trip. Our room was amazing, the service throughout was lovely and attentive without ever being intrusive, and the restaurant was excellent — some of the best food of the whole holiday. What really stood out was the pickup service: they collected us from the airport on the other side of the border, which made a potentially complicated crossing completely easy and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Iguazu Falls.

Excellent!!!! Not enough words to express how great the staff were to us. Highly recommend to people traveling with family or alone. We flew into Brazil side and went across the border to Awasi. Tour guides were excellent. Lodge staff very accommodating with our picky eaters. Had a really nice surprise on our last night at dinner that touched us so much. If you want to see Iguazu Falls, stay here. You won't be disappointed.

It was great. A must visit place. The food both at dinner and during breakfast, service quality and someliers' debth of knowledge and offers was great.
