Reviews for Iguazu Grand Resort Spa & Casino

Could have been much better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed at Iguazú Grand and, while the property has potential, our experience fell short in several areas. The hotel felt far from full — even the staff mentioned it was less than half occupied — yet there was surprisingly little flexibility with late check-out. For a five-star hotel, that was disappointing. On two evenings we tried the hotel restaurant, and both times it was barely 10% occupied. The atmosphere was therefore quite dull and lacked any sense of warmth or liveliness you would expect in a resort of this category. Another major issue was a very loud group of young football players, around 10 years old, who took over shared spaces and made it difficult to relax. It raises the question: why isn’t there a separate area or designated space for large youth groups? Their presence had a noticeable impact on the overall guest experience. Additionally, it was unclear why the hotel charges three different prices for water, which felt inconsistent and unnecessary for a property of this level. Overall, the facilities are fine, but the lack of ambiance, inflexibility, price inconsistencies, and poor management of group noise made our stay less enjoyable than expected.

The hotel was fantastic. From the room to the breakfast to the location. The breakfast was fabulous, open for a lot of hours. The grounds are beautiful with a couple of pools. The gym area is fantastic, with an indoor swimming pool. Would come again!!!

This hotel is real retreat for the whole family.

This hotel has everything for everyone. Absolutely beautiful hotel and property. We stayed here 2 nights, but we wish that we would have stayed longer. Staff is amazing! Roberto just gave us a tour of the spa and I just must say WOW! Great indoor pool to swim laps, therapy pool, saunas, changing rooms, gym, therapy rooms. For kids… rock climbing, zip lining and lots of activity toys to keep them busy. They have restaurants with absolutely fantastic service. This place is a real retreat for a whole family!

Convenient and Comfortable

Great hotel when visiting Iguazu Falls. Convenient location, helpful multilingual staff, comfortable rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Pool area was nice and pool bar service was quick. Resort offers everything you will need for your stay right on property. Only complaint would be that I could hear the music in my room at night. Not terribly loud, but still a minor annoyance.

Good, not great

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed May 29, 2024

After reading such great reviews, I was a bit underwhelmed. Our room was simple but had the necessities. The lobby, restaurants, and grounds were all nice. Unfortunately, we had loud music playing outdoors during our first night, well past midnight. Also, check out is earlier than most places (10 am).

Thanks to Luxury Link we found this exquisite property for our stay at Iguazu Falls. On arrival we found that it was a Leading Hotel of the World - a group that prides itself on outstanding and elegant properties. The hotel and amenities are wonderful as are the gardens. The front desk staff were most helpful and kind. Anyone going to Iguazu Falls would be well served and pleased with the Grand Hotel.
