Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Tierra Patagonia

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I’m deeply disappointed by my recent experience trying to book a stay at Tierra Patagonia. What should have been a straightforward reservation turned into an unnecessarily frustrating exchange with their reservations team Leticia Lamuedra and Jeniffer Motta. Back in 2021, I had planned to visit Tierra Patagonia, but due to COVID border closures, I had to cancel. At that time, the hotel was promoting a 25% booking offer, which I assumed would still reflect their customer-first approach when I tried to rebook for March 2026. Instead, Tierra Patagonia refused to honor the 25% discount, saying it had expired, and offered only 10% off, even though my planned five-night stay spans both March and April, when April is part of their low season. When I asked if they could simply apply the April rate to the first few March nights, the answer was a flat no. What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of flexibility and empathy. I wasn’t asking for something unreasonable, just a fair and thoughtful response for a stay that costs over $15,000. Instead, every reply felt scripted, bureaucratic, and indifferent to the guest experience. For a property that markets itself as a luxury destination, Tierra Patagonia’s customer service fell far short of expectations. If this is how they handle a booking inquiry, I can only imagine how unaccommodating the on-site experience might be. I would strongly caution anyone considering Tierra Hotels: their rigid policies and tone-deaf approach to customer care make it difficult to feel valued or excited about staying there. True hospitality requires flexibility and understanding, qualities Tierra Patagonia clearly lacks.

The Ultimate Patagonia Escape - Beyond Expectations!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Tierra Patagonia! The entire experience was 10/10 from start to finish. The spa was incredible - especially the meditation in the water class, which was such a unique and relaxing experience. Every member of the staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the guides were knowledgeable, fun, and made every excursion unforgettable. The guest experience team went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and Kineret, the relationships manager, was exceptionally kind and helpful. Tierra Patagonia is truly a special place - can’t wait to come back! :)

Patagonia Beauty

The hotel is gorgeous, food is delicious, staff attentive but that's not why you go. You go because you are at Torres del Paine National Park and amazing excursions like the Bridges and the French Valley are why you flew all the way here. Our guides Izzy, Alina, and Francesca and all their helpers were the best. Kineret in Guest Services is the best!

Wonderful base from which to experience the rugged beauty of Patagonia

Beautifully blending into its surroundings, the lodge features amazing views of Torres del Paine across the lake - really setting the scene for the Patagonian experience then brought to life by knowledgeable, friendly guides

Great stay!

Really stunning hotel in a remote and incredible part of the world! Food is generally good, I prefer the bar menu. I got pretty sick of having fine dining every night tbh. Really great cocktails and really friendly staff. Tomas in particular was a gem.
