At Barcelo Puerto Vallarta, you'll find yourself in one of Earth's perfect settings. Against the incomparable backdrops of picture-postcard Mismaloya Bay and sizzling Puerto Vallarta, this all-suite resort boasts beautiful architecture and a wonderful staff dedicated to creating a relaxed atmosphere in an adventurous and exciting international city.

There is so much beauty going for this place. The scenery is lovely. The grounds are lush. The waterfalls add a tropical flair. But the food is the worst. Basically frozen food reheated or crappy meat cooked in sauces. Italian night was a standout & the guacamole is super yummy & fresh but those can't save the disastrous food. My husband & I both had stomach issues both while there & when we got home. The food will absolutely keep us from returning.

Armando Pérez from Restaurante Italiano was great very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was great, and he gave us great service. Definitely coming back.

Overall the amenities and children activities were the best part. Check-in and check-out staff are far the worst. They are rude and dismissive. Waitresses and waiters are much better and are always willing to help out. Moises was our favorite. Tours and other things are very overpriced. if you are traveling from out of the country, they are definitely trying to up charge you for everything (tours/merchandise).

Just returned from the Barcelo PV- this would be our 12th All Inclusive in Mexico (including 3 other Barcelos) so here are my thoughts. Best rankings: the staff, the service, the rooms, the grounds, and the hotel building itself- all make this a delightful resort to stay. Sadly however there is no Quiet area - the adult pool still has to cope with the huge thumping loud speakers from the family pool. Daniel Alvarez, the Activities Mgr. did kindly tone it down the day before we checked out- just wish we had met him earlier! So many staff to compliment but here are a few names that deserve a special mention: Andrea- Premium lounge, Monica -Concierge, Jesus Flores- Lunch Snack bar, par excellence waiter. And so, for the final mention, we stayed at the Garza Blanca (5*) last year, just a mile away. We thought the Barcelo offered much better value and service. Robert, Ajijic, Mexico.

This resort is lovely, clean and the staff are really good. It’s a small resort with plenty of food options, especially given the size. I’ve enjoyed the food quality for the most part. A few things are just ok, but haven’t had anything bad. I’ve had entrees I’ve been very happy with and beautiful. I’m a fresh produce person and have been so excited with the delicious, beautiful and variety of options of vegetables. The one thing I dislike the most is how loud the pool is. The noise comes through your room windows pretty loudly, NOT relaxing. It feels like a club party at times. I wish they could tone it down some. Have you ever been in your car and heard some other cars blasting their music so loud that it’s coming through yours? It’s like that. To have the best chance at a minimal noise room, you don’t get a room with an ocean view, you get the side or street view of buildings. The other thing is it’s about 45 minutes from the airport without traffic delays. I think it might be the farthest point from the airport in this area. You have to take that into consideration when you want to venture out and go to other areas in Puerto Vallarta.
