The experience at this resort is beyond compare. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the resort offers beautiful and luxurious residences, and all facilities are kept clean. We’ve now stayed at this resort three times in the past ten years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Garza Blanca and its staff.

Wow, what a great getaway! We had a fantastic time relaxing by the pool, luxuriating at the spa, and enjoying the world-class meals. The service in all parts of the resort was impeccable, everyone made us feel so welcome. Our personal concierge, Alejandro, was very responsive in booking experiences and finding the sweater I accidentally left behind during check-in. Ericka & Arturo at Bocados made our last brunch very memorable with their wonderful hospitality and special good-bye treat.

We recently visited with a family group of 21. Most were adults. One family traveling with children under 16. The trip was amazing. I can't say enough of how great everything was to us. I was concerned a bit reading some negatives but I am convinced that those reviews are from people that simply can't be made happy. The staff at panoramic pool are great. We had the ultra 2 bedroom panoramic suite and it was very beautiful. We can't wait to return. Standouts for food was Dao and Hiroshi. The server in Hiroshi suggested serving family style which was great as it gave us a variety of food to sample and eat. We had one person in our group who as gluten free and the servers in all restaurants were very good letting her know which options to order. Dao was simply top notch on atmosphere and quality of food. Karuma Grill was a lot of fun too. They honored a family style dinner at AI prices which was fantastic. We are planning on return visit in 3 years if not before to celebrate my other daughters 40th birthday. We cannot wait to return.

Review ⭐☆☆☆☆ Our recent stay at Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta was deeply disappointing on multiple levels, falling far short of the five-star standard it promises. 1️⃣ Empty Fridge in Room: Our room’s refrigerator was completely unstocked on arrival—a basic amenity that shouldn’t be missing at any resort, let alone one billing itself as luxury. 2️⃣ Deceptive All-Inclusive Plan: Many food and drink items are not included despite the expensive “all-inclusive” package. Prices for excluded items were shockingly high—for example, a lobster meal was $125 à la carte and a single shot of scotch was $65. It felt like an intentional upsell trap, with poor transparency about what is or isn’t covered. 3️⃣ Rigid Checkout Policy Despite Low Occupancy: On our departure day (a half-empty Sunday), the staff refused to extend our checkout even by an hour. For a resort marketing itself as guest-focused, this was both unhelpful and inflexible. 4️⃣ Bait-and-Switch, Then Hostage Tactics at Checkout: Most egregiously, we were assured we could remain on the property until our airport pickup at 3 p.m. But once we tried to order food during this time, they suddenly began charging us—despite their promise. When we challenged this unexpected charge, the situation turned outright hostile: they refused to let us leave, locked the property gates, and even instructed our airport driver not to depart until we settled the bill. This was not just poor service—it was intimidation. It’s unacceptable, outrageous, and inexcusable for any hotel, much less a so-called 5-star property. We spent over $20,000 on this family stay and left with an awful final impression—treated as if they would hold us hostage over a single meal’s cost, destroying any sense of hospitality or decency. ⸻ Bottom Line I’ve seen videos of such rude, inconsiderate, and irresponsible behavior at other resorts, but I did not expect it here. If you’re looking for a true luxury experience in Puerto Vallarta, look elsewhere. Garza Blanca seems far more interested in squeezing money out of guests at every turn than in delivering the world-class service they claim.

Poor reservation and check in beware I'm currently staying here as a guest for my sister's bachelorette party. She had 2 friends who could not make the trip prior to the cancellation deadline. She reached out to the website reservation team and was given the run around about how to handle removing 2 guests from the reservation but keeping the other 6. They said to handle it at the property and kept transferring her. Then upon arriving to the property was given run around again for 2 days then finally was told it's a strict no refund policy and we are past the cancel date. Even though we were advised well in advance to handle it at the property. Beware that they will not actually help you with your reservation after you book. + Also they’ve had construction going on at the Beach the entire time. Cranes moving rocks back and forth the whole time. While kayaking all you could smell is gas.
