Reviews for Grand Miramar All Luxury Suites & Residences

Bait-and-switch

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I stayed at the Grand Miramar All Luxury Suites & Residences and while the room was clean and the pools were nice (though oddly empty), the experience overall left a bad taste in my mouth. The main restaurant was closed during our stay, and while the food we could find was good, it was way overpriced. We booked the hotel at a discounted rate, which now feels like a bait-and-switch situation. Nowhere during booking was it made clear that a $250 deposit would be required and only accepted by credit card—not debit. This led to unnecessary stress upon check-in. The worst part, though, came at checkout. Staff inspected the room and then refused to return the deposit because of a harmless spray tan mark cover-up I’ve used for years to help with a skin condition. I explained multiple times that it comes out in the wash, but was completely dismissed. The woman checking me out wasn’t interested in listening or understanding. I was charged $25 and felt humiliated having to explain my condition in front of others. It turned what was supposed to be a romantic getaway into an upsetting and degrading exit. This experience felt discriminatory and deeply disappointing. For a place that calls itself “luxury,” I expected better—especially in how guests are treated with sensitivity and respect.

We loved everything about this place! The views were spectacular and the rooms were very nice. All of the staff was were extremely friendly and kind. Alberto provided exceptional service and took care of anything we needed. The other staff, Luis, Salvador, and Mario were also great. Francisco at the front desk was very professional and friendly.

Quaint, pleasant hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for his birthday and it was heaven. The staff were friendly, pleasant and really helpful especially Salvador, Jorge, Alberto and Kevin. It was quiet and has a really great view of the ocean and jungle. Location: The only downside is that it was on a rough road on top of the hill and does not have easy access to the beach. If you just want to hang out for a short time and be on their pool then this is a place for you.
