Coming after stays in Jaipur and Agra where the 5 star hotels we stsyed didnt even have hot water fscilities in the cold december mornings, Hyatt in Amritsar ticked all the boxes: big rooms, nice amenities and buffet breakfast that was great with staff that are attentive and going the extra mile to ensure our needs are met. Would have tried their Spa if time permitted alas we came in late at midnight and were lookimg forward early morning buffet breakfast and the day long private tour. Beyond the hotel, what made our trip most memorable was the tour guide we had engaged to bring us to The Golden Temple and the flag lowering ceremony popularly known as Wagah Border via GetYourGuide.Com. Our guide Mr Anil Sharma (+91 97802 34705) turned out to be a saviour as he arranged for our pickup and subsequent send off to the Airport. In every aspect of the day tour, he and his team of drivers kept us safe and brought us into all nooks and corners around the Temple and the long drive to the border with Pakistan. He patiently answered all our queries and shared his rich knowledge in excellent english. At the end of the day tour, he brought us to the shopping centre just next to Hyatt! It had all the big labels and I was surprised that prices are 50% cheaper than back home in Singapore. Really appreciate Hyatt and Anil for making things smooth smooth all the way!

Not a bad hotel. Big room and comfy bed. Food buffet style and plentiful. Restaurant staff slow and not very efficient. Only a 2 night stay during a tour. The lights were difficult to navigate, you couldn't seem to have one bedlight on
