Los Altos and the entire staff were beyond exceptional. From the moment we got there until the moment we left we felt spoiled and cared for. We have never experienced such great service and hospitality. The resort itself was perfect for our family of 5 and everyone working there felt like family by the end. Many thanks to Jefferson and the entire front desk team. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Beautiful spot, amazing staff, beautiful beach 🏝️ (a little rocky), great spa, and good animal watching (sloths, monkeys, and birds).

This is a truly amazing hotel. From arrival through to departure everything was wonderful. The staff were without exception the friendliest and most positive group of people we have met for a while. The suite was incredible- really spacious and comfortable with lots of complimentary goodies and a nightly turndown service The pool area is gorgeous and clean with a stunning view. Perhaps the best thing is the sloth tree (in the surrounding forest but easily seen from the balcony) where a couple of resident sloths spend their days. At some points they were about a metre from us. Staff were so enthusiastic about them. The hotel has a brilliant location so within a short walk are numerous restaurants, though the restaurant onsite is excellent. There is a shuttle to the small beach below and also to the larger main beach. Daily free activities such as cooking classes, guided walks and yoga. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you all for a wonderful few days.

Driving to this location alone was enough to fulfill my thought of what Costa Rica would look like. Green, lush and beautiful. First we had lunch at the on site restaurant. The food was flavorful and the service was excellent. The cherry on top was the view from the table. And then the room!!! I’ve stayed at many hotels, but never a townhouse room. We entered into the living room complete with a large sofa, a kitchenette and large tv in the wall. But each of those were overshadowed buy the beautiful balcony overlooking the rainforest and ocean! Completely breathtaking! But wait, there’s more. There was a beautiful staircase that went down to the bedroom. As expected, beautiful, spacious room, complete with a full bathroom. All of this looking out to a floor to ceiling sliding glass door that opens to another balcony. This also overlooks the rainforest with a view of the ocean that can be viewed from the personal plunge pool!!! Yes our own pool! We were there during the wet season. During the time it sprinkled, we watched from the pool! If all of the beauty of the location wasn’t enough, the service is 5 stars!! Alejandra and Jefferson were assigned to our room. They were both wonderful people. And Alejandra was so helpful bringing the cart over while it was raining. Another person that showed amazing hospitality was Alex. He was the one making our beach day memorable. In addition to completing our drink and food orders, he pointed out a sloth in the trees! We really wanted to see one. If you decide to go to the beach, you may want water shoes for the rocks. But again, perfectly beautiful private beach. I did not cover everything, there is so much more. I 100% recommend this location. I plan to have this stop again on my next visit to Costa Rica. ¡Pura Vida!

We stayed at Los Altos for 4 nights on honeymoon in one of the villas. The villa itself was incredible with a fantastic view over the ocean and we saw lots of birds and monkeys from the balcony. The hospitality was exceptional, particular thanks to Alejandra and Jeferson for looking after us so well. Everyone was so friendly and very willing to help us hunt for animals and we saw a sloth! It’s the perfect place to relax from!
