The Darling

The Darling was an absolutely amazing place to stay. My wife and I stayed on the 10th floor for our anniversary and it couldn't have been better. The room was so spacious and luxurious, the reception and staff were very accommodating and great to talk to. I couldn't fault a thing with our stay and being in a great location. We will 100% be back. Thank you to all staff for making our stay perfect. Would 100% recommend.

I stayed for 1 night as part of a small group and was very underwhelmed. The service was well below average for a 5* property as well as the price they charge. My room cleanliness was not 100% up to scratch. Nothing seriously bad but not as good as what it should have been. Worst part was the service. It was overall very poor. In all the part of the hotel I visited. Worst was by the pool. The staff were ignoring customers and getting anything took forever. I waited over 1 hour for a simple cocktail.

We stayed at The Darling to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Tristan at check-in was so charming and friendly, and he made our day by giving us a complimentary upgrade to a suite to make our celebration even more special. The room was impeccable, beautifully designed, and had a lovely view of the harbour. We could tell how much care goes into the housekeeping, the room was spotless, easily the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. At check-out, we were delighted to see Tristan again. He remembered us and sent us off with a warm farewell, which was the perfect ending to a wonderful stay. The Darling truly lives up to its name, we can’t wait to return!

What a wonderful experience for our 2 night stay celebrating a special occasion. Staff were amazing and aim to ensure your stay is a memorable one. The high level of service started with the doormen opening the door and then onto being welcomed by Reception. It didn’t stop there it filtered through to housekeeping and right through to the Managers. They were all friendly and professional, nothing was a problem to them. A special thank you to Suzie for helping with a problem on the 1st night and to Jam for upgrading us the next morning for our 2nd night, which was entirely unexpected. Our 1st night was in a King Room which was beautiful but the 2nd night in a Suite was just exceptional. We have stayed in quite a few 5 class hotels but The Darling goes up a level. Thank you everyone for making our stay a memorable and wonderful one.

Such amazing service and a beautiful hotel. Ali served us and was such a gem! Helped us out and was just such a friendly face to welcome us to the hotel. Made our stay so special.
