The Darling

My husband and I had a fantastic stay here. We were pleased to have received a complimentary upgrade to a gorgeous suite on the 15th floor. It was immaculately clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the facilities were fantastic. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails at the pool bar.

We had the most amazing time during our stay. Check‑in was quick and smooth, and we were even able to access both of our rooms early, which was a great start. Our first room was fabulous, but unfortunately some unexpected concrete works outside the hotel kept us awake all night. The hotel had no prior knowledge of this, and although it wasn’t their responsibility, the manager went above and beyond to help. We were moved to upgraded rooms with even better views, and the gesture was so appreciated. Both rooms were spotless. The housekeeping team is genuinely the best I’ve ever come across; everything was immaculate. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. A special mention has to go to the manager, Dita. She is incredibly personable, warm, and genuinely cares about the guest experience. Her kindness and attention made such a difference to our stay. The in‑room technology was also impressive; far better than anything I’ve experienced in other hotels. Free movies, easy casting, built‑in phone charging, and fast Wi‑Fi all added to the comfort and convenience. I’ve stayed in many hotels as I travel often, but this experience truly stood out. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special. And Dita, you are a star.

Our stay was very pleasant. Excellent service from the front desk up to the room service. The room was clean, slept well in a king size comfortable bed. The room has a big spa which was a bonus. It was a perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary quietly without any disturbance. Very convenient for restaurants and public transport.

I’ve stayed at The Darling countless times now, and honestly, I can’t fault them one bit. Even when compared to other that claim they’re a 6 star hotel, the level of service here is simply unmatched. From the moment you arrive, it’s seamless — valet greets you with a smile, and that same warmth carries through to reception. On this stay, check-in was particularly busy with a long queue, but Jam thoughtfully handed us a bottle of water while we waited. Small gesture, big impact. Despite the crowd, the check-in process was smooth and efficient, which I truly appreciate as I often stay here when attending events. They’re also incredibly accommodating — whenever rooms are available, they don’t hesitate to offer early check-in. Luggage was delivered to my room within 10 minutes of arriving upstairs, which is impressive and consistent with their service standards. Room service deserves its own mention. Prices are average, but the quality of food is absolutely amazing, and service is impressively fast — even on a busy Saturday afternoon/night. The location is another huge plus: shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby, the casino for those who enjoy a little fun, and it’s always easy to get a cab or rideshare. Most importantly, the rooms are always immaculate — spotless, beautifully maintained, and so comfortable. The bed, in particular, is next level. I don’t know what it is, but I genuinely sleep so well every single time I stay here. The Darling is always my first choice when staying in the city. Consistently excellent service, comfort, and attention to detail — it never disappoints. Shoutout to Jam and everyone at concierge for the outstanding service!
