Gran Melia Xian

A really nice hotel nearby to a few attractions. There were a few odd things though; we booked into a red level room with one bed as a couple and were given a room with two beds for some reason, we also checked in speaking English and were handed information guides to the hotel in an envelope in Russian for reasons also unknown, there was a plate with fruit in our room left with a card describing local Chinese snacks that weren't on the plate. Not a big problem but there's a lack of attention to detail at this price point. That said, the food and drinks on the red level were great and the staff were very friendly.

Our stay at the Gran Melia Xi'an was nothing short of perfection and exceeded all our expectations. The hotel staff is truly outstanding. At every turn, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and immensely helpful. We were always greeted with a smile, and they were prepared to accommodate every request, which elevated our entire vacation experience. Our room (a suite) was perfect – elegantly appointed, spacious, impeccably clean, and with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I would like to give a special mention to the hotel's Lounge. The food and beverage offerings were excellent, but what was particularly impressive was the staff in the lounge. They were so attentive, friendly, and discreet, making us feel truly valued. They are the true gem of this hotel. I highly recommend the Gran Melia to anyone seeking an authentic and luxurious experience in Xi'an. You will feel that your choice was the right one for the quality of service and comfort. We will definitely be returning

We had an enjoyable and great stay at Gran Melia Xian. All the staff were very nice , friendly and helpful, especially all the staff from the Red Level Lounge. We had nice, clean and spacious suit room. Breakfast and food served at the lounge were nice and with good varieties. Will come back to stay when we visit Xian again.

The service of lounge is pretty friendly. The dinner is delicious, but rather western still. I hope there could be more dishes in the future.

The surrounding landscape of this hotel - Gran Melia Xian is very impressive. It is well connected with malls, shopping outlets, restaurants, bars/cafe accessible at the back of the hotel and a beautiful park in front of the hotel. The entire area is very brightly lighted up resembling a fairy land environment. The lobby area is very spacious, and the setting provides a cozy ambience. The room is comfortable with the lightings and air-conditioning operated via sensors. The bathroom is located after the room door entrance with very conducive setup in terms of the shower and toilet area being separated by the wash basin area. The only setback is the water pressure from the hand shower is very slow. Also, the narrow corridor towards entering the bedroom. I do enjoy the comfort of the bed and more so, it is rather quiet and peaceful which you can hardly hear noises from the outside. The house-keeping service is great and very responsive in our requests. The breakfast provided is also appetizing with a good option of food and beverages. Overall, the hotel is well maintained, and the rooms are kept very clean. It is worth the stay and to experience the vibrancy of the surrounding hotel.
