Located in a building that, once upon a time, was head office for the National Bank of Canada, Hotel 71 is a stunning example of 19th century neo-classic architecture. The lobby is a welcome breath of modernity, with limestone walls and a walnut ceiling. The simple and elegant design glows in the sunlight that beams through the massive windows found in each room, some situated perfectly to offer views of the St. Lawrence and the city’s Old Port. All rooms are furnished with a spacious work desk, a DVD surround sound system and wireless internet access. The "Il Matto" Italian restaurant is consistently ranked amongst the best in the city.

Good hotel. All staff were helpful, courteous, and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and well apportioned. Great location in old town. Although it was comfortable, we did not find it quite as plush as their description. Restaurant was good, but you will need a reservation.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and couldn’t fault it. Very helpful friendly staff. Ideal position in the old town and the drives in and out were easy. The bedroom was very quiet with a green view, the blackout curtains were brilliant so we had the best 2 nights sleep of our 17 day trip. A high light was the shower, amazing we could have stayed in it all day.

This is a great location with lots of walkable streets with restaurants and shops. Close to the water. Disappointed i didn't score an upgrade but room was adequate and could see the Fairmont. You get 2 complimentary glasses of wine and continental breakfast with status. Although it felt a little like camp with the eating area, the croissants were the best i have had outside of France. Espresso machine and cruvinet if you want to purchase additional wine. Nice iltalian restaurant attached, Il Matto.

Awesome boutique hotel in the heart of Old Quebec City. Beautiful location with a view of the river and the Chateau. We had a beautiful room with modern amenities and much charm. Received great advice from Roschan at the front desk. A class act!! Highly recommend 👌
