Le Capitole Hotel

On more than one occasion during our stay in Quebec City, I commended my husband for selecting such a superb hotel. Le Capitole is magnificent in every way. Staff regularly move heaven and earth on behalf of guests: no guest need is too small to escape their care. Everything is spotlessly clean. Rooms are spacious and have good views of either the harbor or the old town. We stayed in room 405 and woke up to Le Chateau Frontenac piercing the horizon every morning. The rooftop pool is a must-see. It was serene and deserted every time I went up there: I deeply regretted not bringing my bathing suit. Finally, Le Capitole is perfectly situated in town: right outside the old town walls -so a little bit away from the mobs of tourists, but still near the action with a concert hall across the way with steps that local skateboarders use for practice. Overall, this hotel offered the best of Quebec City!

Excellent location and may be best one in the city for tourists. Close to carefree zone and restaurants. Service good. Very weird access to rooms with one elevator to reception and then a walk to another elevator to rooms at the back of the building.you get used to it but strange due to the original historical building origin. Rooms smallish but good quality and looks well maintained which is what counts. Friendly staff. We had no car so cannot comment on parking. For Quebac city just remember it is hilly and lotsa stairs auto access various parts city. The hotel is on flat zone so the comment is mainly related to the area not the hotel.

What a fantastic stay. Service and facility far exceeded the price paid. Front desk, housekeeping, concierge and hotel bar all staffed by kind, efficient professionals. GREAT location. Will be recommending this hotel to all our friends. Can’t wait to come back!

Good location for visiting the old town. Room very pleasant (if a little on the small side). Very clean. Asked - and got - a kettle for us tea drinkers. Great shower. There was an event on in the square at the front of the hotel over the weekend that blasted out (quite terrible) music over the weekend which was rather annoying until it stopped at 23h each evening. Not the hotel's fault but was a slight impact.

I recently surprised my husband with a birthday trip to Quebec. I actually had no expectations for what we would encounter in this place we had never been to, and we were so pleasantly pleased with everything, especially our stay at Le Capitole. First of all, the location could not be any better; being at the gateway to the old city, everything was accessible on foot. We were able to wander the charming and quaint town all day and night, and return each evening to our "new home" for a nightcap and a fabulous view. Le Capitole staff was so welcoming and accommodating from the minute we arrived. Elina, at the front desk, was so sweet and helpful during our entire stay. Of course, the rest of the staff was just as incredible. Being that we stayed for 7 nights, we got to know everyone from the doormen to the chamberhousekeeper and, of course, the restaurant staff at Il Teatro and the Clubby Bar. I highly recommend anyone looking to have a magnifique experience and a splendide hotel stay to choose Le Capitole.
