The resort is quite lovely. The highlights are the location and the food. The chef is outstanding and the meals are very well thought-out and delicious. The staff is also really good and goes above and beyond to be helpful. Paige at the dive shack loaned me her diving gloves and Ivo, Amanda/Andrea (from Missouri) in the dining room were spectacular! Several of the reviews said that the rooms need refurbishing but, in our opinion that wasn’t the biggest problem. While there is a lot to do here - diving, snorkeling, hiking, there are times that you want to just sit and enjoy the resort. This is nearly impossible. None of the chairs are comfortable. The lounges on the beaches are stretched-out or ripped (sunset beach), the lounges at the pool do not recline all the way though they have very nice cushions and it’s completely unfortunate that the pool has no view of the water. And finally, at the rooms themselves there really is no outside spot to relax. Each room seems to have only a beanbag — and only 1!! Though the porches at the rooms tend to be small, there really has to be a more comfortable alternative! Also, it’s super nice to have the portable cabanas — which the staff was very nice to set up for me at Sunset Beach — but those too are in need of refurbishing. These are such small updates which could be done EVERY season and it would make a huge improvement.

Beautiful island with such a nice vibe. Food was excellent. Gorgeous beaches all to yourself. Quality really above expectations. Staff really friendly and nice. Coral reef of clams garden not damaged (it grew back) thanks to the re-planting by the research center and the snorkeling sites in the reef near by is absolutely stunning and not bleached at all. All other reefs attached to the island is breached. So definitely recommend booking a private charter that goes out to open sea (limited availability). Yes expensive but better to do it perfect in one time than half. And due to the remote location worth value for money.

Wonderful accommodation, great food, friendly and efficient staff and great water activities. It is a dream place where you can combine relaxing with hiking and snorkelling over the barrier reef. It was really difficult to leave but hopefully we will return one day.

The location can’t be beat—everything is literally right there. You can walk from your room right into the water to see the reef. Every time I went in the water I saw something new—sharks, turtles, sting rays, cuttlefish… The resort itself is amazing too. Everyone on staff is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was incredible and different every day, while also specifically tailored to my allergies.

This is a magical experience. The location, flight over, resort, food, drinks, service and activities are all first rate. The snorkel boat tours are a must as you experience reefs a little off the beach. Snorkelling in Anchor Bay, off the beach at the resort, is not really much although you will encounter turtles and reef sharks. But the coral and visibility are poor. The research station is a must do visit. The walks are all worth-while. The Marlin Bar is an essential visit. Staff are the best we have ever encountered.
