We have visited Millbrook more than 20 times over the years, and generally want to give great reviews, for the location if nothing else. The Hole in One bar and Millhouse restaurant were both very good, with prompt service and good food. Breakfast was good, but it does feel odd to pay a part charge for coffee when this is an inclusion at many hotels these days, The grounds are in immaculate condition, which adds real charm. Front of house service was pleasant and professional, but lacked the ability to effect change. We had expressed a preference for a couple of specific units which the hotel was unable to meet (we do understand this, even though the booking were made in October last year). On paper the room allocated was in the same area but lacked the specific amenities we were looking for. Our strong preference if for a room with a fire, which ours did not, and it was a disabled unit, so toilet and Shower were disappointing. We asked to change, but were told this was not possible. It should be noted that the carpet in the unit was very badly marked, and could be considered for cleaning or replacement. Millbrook is still one of our favourite place to stay, and we will be back, but hope for a better outcome on room selection.

The countryside location of the fabulous Millbrook Resort is ideal. It is close enough to, yet far enough from busier Queenstown. Minutes away from Arrowtown city center and near a variety of wineries and cycling trails. It is surrounded by its own resort 36 hole golf course. In fact the New Zealand Open just ended there shortly before my arrival. Service at the resort is great! The lodgings were very nice. One improvement that really needs to be made in the room that I stayed in is that proper window coverings that allow for privacy, but that also allow one to still enjoy the outside view need to be added. My lodging backed up to the golf course. There were golfers there, as well as many construction workers taking down equipment from the NZ Open. I could either leave my drapery or shutters open with zero privacy or closed with no light getting in. There was no in between, as there were no sheers, blinds or plantation shutters (with movable slats) for privacy. Aside from that, everything else was stellar. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. The property was vast and beautiful. There were many nice dining options and recreation options on property. One standout for me was the regular free shuttle service into Queenstown and on demand to Arrowntown. Thank you for this! Shuttle service to the airport was half the price of a taxi - very convenient. There were bicycle rentals available, right on property, which were so nice because of the vast network of excellent cycling trails nearby! Service was excellent!!! I would absolutely stay again! Highly recommend! I hope you fix the window coverings issue.

Millbrook Resort is a lovely, golf-oriented resort just outside quaint Arrowtown. We spent one night at Millbrook at the conclusion of a tour and while it seemed that the property is primarily focused on golf, it is nonetheless a beautiful property with some very nice amenities. The architectural design of the buildings is charming — resembling a small neighborhood — and the guest suites are spacious, gorgeous and quiet. The fitness facility is comparable to a commercial gym, and the lap pool, though small, is a nice amenity. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous. Lots of staff and they are very responsive. Overall, this is an outstanding resort.

This was our sixth stay at Millbrook. Essentially, the things that keep drawing us back remain the same. Disappointingly for us, the facilities are much busier and getting a round of golf as a couple on our own was no longer possible. There was something special about being able to play the fairways and admire the scenery as a married couple making memories. The on course restaurants are a highlight, particularly the Clubhouse breakfast, Kobe Cuising Japanese and the Millhouse for a special dinner. However there is increasing strong competition from the recently opened Ayrburn precinct.

Loved our two days at Millbrook. Everything was lovely, the staff the accommodation, the grounds, the facilities. Will definitely visit again and definitely recommend it to others.
