Alila Maldives was truly special, in the quiet, thoughtful way that stays with you long after you leave. From the moment ive arrived, everything felt calm, genuine, and beautifully balanced. The food deserves special mention. Every meal was prepared with care and real attention to quality fresh, well-presented, and consistently delicious without ever feeling overdone. Whether it was breakfast by the water or dinner under the stars, you could taste the pride and thought behind each dish. The beverages were equally impressive great variety, excellent quality, and always served just right. Simple moments like a perfectly made coffee or a sunset cocktail felt elevated. What really made the experience unforgettable was the service. The team was warm, attentive, and incredibly kind… never intrusive, always present when needed. You could tell they genuinely cared, and that made all the difference. It felt personal and sincere, not scripted. The ambiance at Alila is something rare. Peaceful, elegant, and deeply connected to nature, it allows you to truly slow down and be present. Everything flows effortlessly the design, the sounds of the ocean, the sense of space.Spa is amazing 🤩 (massage worth a try) Alila Maldives isn’t about excess it’s about quality, intention, and heart. Left feeling rested, grateful, and already hoping to return.

Truly exceptional from beginning to the end. The island is a tropical paradise. The food is outstanding and the customer service is top notch. Sandip at Mirus Bar delivered truly exceptional service—so much so that my son Alexander is still talking about him even after we returned home. He genuinely embodies the “Hyatt touch.” Ziyadh and Aroo at Seasalt were equally outstanding, consistently providing warm and attentive service throughout our stay. Our villa host, Azim, was incredibly helpful and always responded promptly to every request, making everything effortless for us. On the culinary side, Damodor was an absolute star in the kitchen. Odi at Pibati also went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. A special mention to Danilo, the F&B Director. We connected with him immediately, and he made a point of checking in on us throughout our stay to ensure everything was perfect—a level of personal attention that truly elevated the experience.

Awesome experience in one of the best resort. We have traveled the world and Alila Kothaifaru ranks the #1 destination. We we pamper with service and delicious meals. This was the first time my wife ever snorkel and it was a bucket list for her. We would recommend this for our family and friends.

The resort is about a 40-minute seaplane journey away, which already sets the tone for a proper Maldives escape. I had the chance to stay in both a Beach Villa and a Water Villa, and both were excellent in their own ways. The Beach Villa has separate bedroom and living areas, with the bathroom outdoors. This might not be for everyone, but the outdoor shower is a unique experience you can only really have in the Maldives. The Water Villa has a studio layout, with the bedroom and living space combined and an indoor bathroom. Both types come with private pools, offering a good level of privacy. The resort has a week-long activity schedule, with something different each day, making it easy to pick and choose. The house reef is great for snorkeling, and the lagoon and beach are stunning. There are also boat trips for snorkeling — even if you’re not a strong swimmer, you can join with a personal guide. I didn’t try everything as I was watching my diet, but there are four restaurants to choose from. The pizza restaurant was impressive, with an oven imported from Italy. The main restaurant offers everything from local dishes to comfort food, including caviar and foie gras, while the Japanese restaurant serves sushi, sashimi, and teppanyaki. Staff were excellent throughout — attentive without being over the top. There was also a drinks session where guests could spend time with the management team, which felt like a nice touch and a good way to connect with people. I’d also like to extend my thanks to the General Manager for overseeing everything so well. Overall, this resort is highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to the Maldives.
