Alila Kothaifaru Maldives

From arrival to departure everything was perfect. Great location, very clean and spacious rooms, extremely kind and helpful staff. No request was left unanswered and everything we wanted was possible.

Stayed at Alila Kothaifaru Maldives for my honeymoon and I have to say that it was the best decision. We stayed in the overwater villa. The room is modern, clean, and luxurious. It is located in front of the house reef so we had a great access to snorkeling. Snorkeling was amazing, saw manta, reef sharks, rays, and good reef. The lighting brought a good ambiance to the room. Great hospitality by Nasse and Arya from the Yakitori Bar who showered us with care! Food was great too. We especially love the Yakitori and rice bowl and came back multiple times during our stay.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the breathtaking Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, a luxurious resort within the Hyatt Hotel Group. From the moment we arrived at Male Airport, our exceptional team ensured a seamless and unforgettable experience. Under the guidance of Danilo, the dedicated F&B Director, every aspect of our stay was meticulously planned and executed to perfection. The dedicated service staff, high-quality restaurants, and serene atmosphere created a truly enchanting ambiance throughout our stay. We opted for the ‘celebration package,’ which included numerous highlights. Our final night was a romantic sunset twilight dinner at the beach, a perfect way to end our extraordinary journey. The breakfast was a delightful start to each day, followed by a delightful intermezzo of snacks during lunch. The fine-dining culinary experience was nothing short of extraordinary, with each dish crafted to perfection. I particularly appreciated Chef Frank and his team’s ‘good morning’ routine, ensuring that every detail was taken care of to our utmost satisfaction. They handled our special wishes and requests with utmost professionalism and grace. The Teppanyaki at the Umami Restaurant was an absolute highlight of our stay. Chef Agus, a culinary maestro, treated us to a truly exceptional dining experience. His expertise and passion for cooking were evident in every dish, making it a feast for the senses. The Hotel management should take pride in having such a talented chef on their team. One of the unique aspects of our stay was the secluded location of the Hotel on a small Atoll/Island. This exclusivity provided us with a sense of privacy and tranquility, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings. The Management team organized a delightful cocktail night, where Jamal, the Resort Manager, and Danilo, the F&B Director, personally greeted and welcomed us. Their warm hospitality and genuine interest in our well-being were truly commendable. While we had a wonderful time, we did wish for a bit more proactive approach from our Villa Host (or Butler, as per Hyatt terminology) regarding our pre-booked activities and dinners. It would have been helpful to receive a summary schedule to keep track of our plans. Additionally, we encountered an inconvenience with our late checkout due to high occupancy, which was disappointing given our flight was only 3 hours later. Overall, it was a very good experience. The scenery is beautiful, and the sea is a stunning blue. The staff are all very friendly, and the food portions are generous and filling—and not bad at all.

Our trip to the Maldives, Alila Kothaifaru was an unforgettable experience. The stunning nature and our beautiful watervilla created the perfect romantic atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with delicious Japanese, Italian, Indian dishes and plenty of other treats to enjoy. Days were spent relaxing on the beach and exploring the underwater world through exciting snorkeling. We saw an incredible variety of fish, including small rays and blacktip reef sharks. On our last day, we were lucky enough to watch a giant manta ray glide majestically through the water right from our own terrace. A truly magical getaway from start to finish.
