InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort

I spent a pleasant and fulfilling five days at the InterContinental. The weather was excellent, and I took many beautiful photos. All the staff were very enthusiastic, smiling and greeting you. Especially our butler Daisy, who was very attentive, arranging and reminding us of activities and restaurants every day. The room facilities were very new, but the space was a bit small. Everything else was perfect

We stayed at the Intercontinental Maldives for 5 day / 4 nights in a 2-bedroom overwater villa as a family of five. The villa was spacious, comfortable, and great for enjoying the open ocean views and easy access to the water. Got to the island via seaplane, which is an experience in itself. Service was a standout. Staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and quick to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed the breakfast too — great variety and good quality, so everyone (even the picky eaters) left happy each morning. Four restaurants with different cuisine are available too. The Marine Centre offers the usual aquatic activities, and we really enjoyed snorkeling and scuba diving with the team there, as well as excursions to see mantas and dolphins. The only downside is that the coral reef (across the Maldives as I gather) is still recovering from a bleaching event last year, so some areas look quite damaged. That said, there were still fish and interesting spots to explore underwater. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay — relaxing for the adults, fun for the kids, and very comfortable all around. Definitely recommended

Intercontinental Maldives was another incredible vacation for my wife and I. it was actually our second time back as we enoyed it so much from our 1st trip in 2022. Their new GM Rhinehold Johan was incredibly hospitable as well as his large staff. From our cursor Iyaaz who on call 24/7 and had an incredible customer care professionalism to him. Then to Sami who brighten our daily breakfast with her beautiful smile and charm. I then would like to thanks Gopal, Thane, Min Hoe, Sweety, Arvin and the entire food, and Spa staff with Thune from Thailand who helped my back immensely. Only 4.5 hours from Singapore, IHG spares no expense with world class cuisine, cocktails and of course water sports and diving. White powder sand and their Villa’s with private dipping pool is 2nd to none. I hope to one day go back again for our third visit and I’m sure we will as it truly is a remarkable l, special place where you feel like family from the time you arrive in your sea plane!!
