InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort

I had the most amazing time on this magical island by IHG intercontinental, from the warm welcome we received at the beginning right until departure it was all perfect. Every member of staff was always happy to help and very willing to please, it's the staff that really make the place come alive. The GM Reinhold Johann has really made this a very special place with his amazing team. The restaurants as well are all fabulous with plenty if variety between the 3 offerings on the island. I always worry on an island if you are going to get bored of the food , as you are in the same place for 3 meals a day and I know from experience that you can be bored by the end of the week. But with the islands executive chef Arun Sivasankaran , there is no chance of that. Each outlet of the 3 are completely different and give plenty of choice and variety for your entire stay. Not only giving us tasty and delicious food , it was creative and well thought out, basically you were spoilt for choice. Also several different events that were put on with huge food buffets, the amount of work that went into these was extraordinary, all the staff showed such passion and team work. There was also the most amazing entertainment over the festive season, which again was so well organised and planned, all were truly spectacular. I cannot recommend this hotel and its team highly enough,, also a big thank you to Lyaz our island curator, you were also so helpful all the time. Thank you everyone for making our Christmas vacation truly special.

We are a well travelled family from USA yet this Maldives experience stands out. We loved every bit of it. Enjoyed outstanding service by staff, really all are good, warm and fully accommodating, except one. Sherif stood out with his excellent info And advise on the many water activities we did Choices of food and once of a kind events. We are so grateful to his help in the success of our trip. We left fully relaxed, satisfied and happy.

We had a fun time. Our guide, Sherif helped us so much with our task with scheduling and planning. The atmosphere is great with a great view of the water and the villas. the rooms are very comfortable. It’s at a really nice location in the Maldives where the waters are warm. The place is really quiet and very clean. The hotel gave many great amenities like swimming, parasailing, fishing, and snorkeling. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend others to go to.

From the beginning till the end a fenomenal experice. First if all I have to say a big thank you to Iyaz, he gave his all to make our experince worth it and without him it wouldn’t be the same! The vibe was amazing, the service was a 10/10 and it made our start in the new year very nice. Thanks to the whole Team! Definitely we will come back!
