Ranthambhore National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1957 and in 1974 it gained the protection of the Government of India’s Project Tiger conservation programme. Since then, the numbers of resident tigers have been increasing thanks to dedicated conservation efforts in the area. Ranthambhore National Park is also home to Ranthambhore Fort: a vast UNESCO World Heritage Site that overlooks the park and dates back one thousand years.

Stayed for four days one of them was a milestone reward. Absolutely worth the premium pricetag. One of the best tent layouts. Brilliant greens. A special thank you to the brilliant f&b manager Sandhya who took very special care of us. The yoga sessions by Saloni were beautiful and super calming. Saurab who served us most days was very good at his job. Brilliant evening live music. Attended a wine meditation session with hitesh and aishwarya which was unique. The only shortcoming for me was the gym which was not really upto the expected oberoi standards. Manvendra who served us high tea on all days was super charming with amazing local stories. Thank you all.

Though we booked our stay through a travel company but this oboroi Vanya Vilas wanted to charge for our breakfast whereas our company paid in advance the whole payment . The tent we were staying had insects crawling on the floor , when told to staff they started making excuse of heavy rainfall . Stay was really not up the mark .

The hotel is extraordinarily beautiful with peacocks roaming around freely. The menu has a wide range of options. We were lucky enough to see tigers on our safari! Best of all, however, were the staff who could not have been more accommodating and welcoming.

This a tented hotel but the word tent does not really describe the luxurious room with four poster bed, claw foot bath and sparkling ceiling featuring tigers on the fabric. We had a room with a private pool here which was amazing. The sounds of the birds in the beautiful gardens were incredible. As always, the welcome was amazing. The staff here were so warm and nothing was too much trouble. We had booked an early morning safari and we were accompanied by Khusbu, one of the hotels naturalists who was brilliant at explaining everything we saw. There was a talk about the mammals of Ranthambore reserve the night before which we would recommend. We were privileged to see a huge male tiger in Zone 10 as well as lots of deer and antelopes, a monitor lizard and lots of birds. We made use of the spa in the afternoon having lovey treatment packages. We had a marvelous nature walk in the hotel grounds in the evening with Khusbu and saw the sunset from the observation tower. The food was excellent, with lots of assistance in picking the right level of spiciness and added extras just so we could try things. The location, food and most of all the staff were wonderful!
