Terranea Resort

Terranea was terrific! We are used to staying at smaller resorts/hotels and were a little concerned about the size of Terranea. It turns out there was nothing to be concerned about. Management and staff made a successful effort to make the experience feel personal and welcoming. The staff - housekeeping, poolside, spa, restaurant - were all terrific. And the food was excellent - at all of the restaurants.

Plan your trip now before the summer sound series ends (through August). The first day we enjoyed the spa / pool for a serene afternoon followed by dinner at bashi for sushi (delicious). The general manager, Evan, ensures guests enjoy with a personal touch. A cocktail on the lobby terrace was the perfect way to end the day. The next day we enjoyed the vibe at cielo point pool and danced to a live band overlooking the Pacific for the summer sound series that night. The entire resort is cliffside ocean-front, guaranteeing stunning views no matter where you walk, pool or dine. To top it off, the entire resort has impeccable service!

Our stay at Terranea, which was thoroughly outstanding in every respect, was made somehow even more outstanding by the team of Concierge, who gave so thoroughly and graciously of their time and talents, and made our experience at Terranea one which we will never forget. It is rare that THIS remarkable caliber of personalized service is given, even at the best of resorts. I cannot begin to bestow enough praise on these women because the praise that each of them deserves is immeasurable. My husband and I came away feeling like family members, not clients, of these wonderful people, whom I would like to call out by name: Daileah Koenig Reagan Gray Deb Hough Gigi Martinez Ashley Jimenez Amanda Silva Elizabeth Zak Also notable in the maid staff (I hope I spell their names correctly) were Lillianna and Raquel. And for those of the staff that I have inadvertently left out, my sincere apologies because every one of you added charm to our stay. My deepest thanks and admiration to whoever hired this amazing staff; I hope that they each get the recognition that they deserve. Thank you, girls. Aside from the exquisite natural beauty of the property, this staff is responsible for visits that we look forward to making again and again.

We were there for Franchising conference. The resort itself is pretty, grounds are taken care of nicely. Music played in nice too. Rooms are spacious, beds are super comfy. Cons: resort located at least 2 miles from the rest of the city. So if you come there, you stay there. 3 restaurants at the resort. Pool is ok, has hot tub which is nice. Resort is super expensive. During the weekday, the lounge chairs are free, but on weekend, it is $100 those that face the ocean itself. ( other are still free). Drinks at the bar are very expensive: glass of champagne -$30, cocktails- $23, Beer- $17( + -) . The food cost less than drinks. Main thing is the ocean is cold, and no actual beach. There is nowhere to swim even in cold water. Parking is $70 per night. Good for taking photos :-)

What took us so long to find this amazing location? The resort is beautiful, the staff welcoming. We enjoyed our balcony view, especially at night, the landscape twinkled with ambient lighting. We stayed as a couple over Easter Weekend & much to our delight an entire petting zoo was shuttled in. Really amazing! While we did not have family join us for this stay, we enjoyed every minute. Regardless of the time of year I can’t imagine not enjoying this resort.
