Grand Hotel Bristol Resort & SPA

What a wonderful hotel in Rappella, Italy.. Hotel sits just off the main road with super views of the water. Guest experience was top notch including the staff from the moment we drove in to the time of check out. Food by the pool was delicious and so was the breakfast Buffett. View of the water from our room was devine. We will come back here again!!!

This is a great hotel. My husband and I just spent 6 nights there and were very impressed. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view of the water, and the housekeeping staff did a lovely job every morning and evening (turn down). One slight drawback IMO: The shower is inside a very narrow tub and I would have preferred a separate shower instead. But this was a minor inconvenience. There is a very nice veranda where you can have breakfast or dinner outside while enjoying the wonderful view. (You can also have breakfast inside if you prefer.) The buffet breakfast was excellent, as was our dinner there one night. We also tried dinner at Le Cupole, their "fancy" restaurant. It's on the top floor of the hotel and also has spectacular views. The food and service were very good. Other features: There is a pool on site with lounge chairs/umbrellas and food service, as well as a separate beach club which you can visit by "reservation, " using the hotel shuttle (Mercedes van). The beach club, right on the Ligurian Sea, is not gigantic, and there was an extra fee to use it. (I think it was 50 Euros a day total for 2 lounge chairs/umbrella/towels .) There is also a restaurant at the beach club so that was nice for lunch. One note: The shuttle drops you off as close as it can get to the beach club, but you then have to walk down about 100 stairs to actually reach it. And of course, you have to do the reverse to get a shuttle ride back to the hotel. So if you have any mobility issues, you might want to just stick to using the hotel pool. Other positive aspects: the hotel shuttle will also drive you into Rapallo (about a 4 minute drive) and pick you up after dinner or shopping as long as you coordinate with the Concierge. There is a spa, but we were busy touring the area and never got to try it. Use of some of the spa's features is included in your room rate. The staff was one of the best things about the hotel. The restaurant staff work hard: you'll see them at breakfast and often they're still there at dinner. But they were always pleasant and courteous. Likewise, the Concierge, front desk staff, and bellmen/shuttle drivers were all great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Grand Hotel Bristol to anyone visiting this area.

Fabulous Birthday stay @ The Grand Bristol As a Hilton member we was upgraded to a beautiful room delux seaview great beds . Lunch at the pool was fabulous dinner on the roof top another level fantastic The service of the staff at this hotel is unique they are truly fabulous. I received a cake balloons and a bottle of bubbles Thank you all so much . Then there is the pool area which is again very special. Breakfast is fantastic which a great choice . The area is very close to Portofino by ferry . We can’t wait to return its a very special place . I would like to thank Fellciano at check in and Rocco in fine dining but all staff are wonderful. This was without a doubt one of the best hotels I have ever been to! My husband and I stayed here with our 2 young daughters. Upon arrival, we were given a lovely tour of the hotel along with a welcome drink by the pool. We were then escorted to our rooms, and the hotel staff had set out some very nice treats and champagne as my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary as well as a milestone birthday for me. They also gifted my daughters each a teddy bear. The staff was so kind and helpful. The concierge went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect! The complimentary shuttle that goes into the center of town was very convenient. It drops you off very close to train station which makes exploring the cinque terre very easy. It’s also a short walk to the ferry to see Portofino/Santa Margherita. The bellmen that drive the shuttle are all very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Several of them made many helpful suggestions on places to go around Rapallo. The pool is beautiful, and the bartenders working at the pool were all wonderful! We had 2 rooms and they were both immaculate. The views from the balconies were breathtaking! The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever been to! So many food options and eating on the terrace overlooking the pool and ocean was spectacular! And finally, one night we went to dinner on the terrace. I had the lobster linguine and it was by far one of the best meals I had on the trip to Italy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and we are already trying to plan a trip to come back next year!

Tutto era perfetto: la camera, il personale, il spa, la piscina, la colazione (!!), il ristorante… It was our tenth wedding anniversary - dieci anni di matrimonio - and the Grand Hotel Bristol made it a wonderful time and a memorable souvenir. The staff and the teams well full of attention, smiling, caring at all times and dedicated to their jobs. From the reception staff to the spa, the room service and cleaning teams, the restaurant personal and the shuttle drivers. It was a great experience to spend those five days at the hotel.
