My recent stay at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah was based on the Club InterContinental experience, and I must say the Club amenities and service were truly phenomenal. The staff were exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely hospitable. The entire Club team went above and beyond to make guests feel valued; special thanks to Paula and Gerylin, who made a lasting impression with their warmth and efficiency. However, my stay was significantly impacted by a two-day wedding event that took place during my visit. The noise levels were unbearable, taking away from the relaxing atmosphere I had looked forward to. Although the Club Manager did what they could to manage the situation, I cannot overlook the fact that my vacation was disrupted. It remains unclear why guests weren’t notified in advance about the wedding and given the option to adjust or cancel their stay. This experience was disappointing, especially since I met several returning guests who were equally frustrated by the situation. Dear General Manager, I sincerely hope this becomes a learning opportunity for better guest communication and event planning in the future. Aside from this issue, the resort itself is beautiful — spacious, stylish rooms, serene surroundings, and first-class hospitality from the team. Under ideal circumstances, this would easily be my go-to destination for a relaxing escape. I truly hope to give the property another chance and experience it as it’s meant to be enjoyed — in tranquility. Thank you once again: Gerylin, Paula, May, Siva at the Club Lounge, Ali and Gracy at Front Desk.

Overall Review Summary The stay scored 3 overall, reflecting a stay that was acceptable in parts but well below the standard expected from a 5-star resort. Rooms and location were the strongest aspects — clean, comfortable, and quiet — but service levels were inconsistent. Check-in, staff engagement, and responsiveness were average at best and didn’t meet 5-star expectations. Food & Beverage remained the weakest area. The only outlets delivering decent quality and value were NoHo and the breakfast buffet. All other restaurants were poor, with limited options, weak execution, and overall poor value for money. Access from the rooms to the pool was also poorly designed, making simple movement around the resort unnecessarily inconvenient. For a beach/pool-driven property, this is a noticeable flaw. In addition, the hotel is clearly showing signs of declining maintenance, with areas around the resort looking tired and not kept to the standard we experienced on previous visits. Overall: a functional stay with some positives, but not a resort you would return to unless significant improvements are made — particularly around F&B, layout usability, service consistency, and general maintenance.
