Sat on a limestone throne at the peaceful pinnacle of Ravello, Belmond Hotel Caruso gazes out over the Tyrrhenian Sea. The hotel was originally built in the 11th century by a wealthy family, shipwrecked on their journey to Constantinople. It was once called Palazzo d’Afflitto—the Palace of the Afflicted. Inside, our 50 rooms have been lovingly restored to their ancient Neapolitan glory. Expect hand-crafted terracotta floors and Naples-yellow walls adorned with neo-classical antiques. Fresh flowers and stunning coastline vistas complete the experience.

We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at Caruso Grill and were amazed by the ever so warm hospitality. It was truly the best place to enjoy this milestone birthday. The team at the restaurant made every wish possible and simply perfect. The seafood options are excellent and the pasta dishes beautiful. The wine list had our favourite Rosé. Two musicians which play local songs on the guitar and mandolin throughout the restaurant created a great atmosphere. Overall, the hotel is such a romantic place with corners to enjoy the view of the ocean or the perfectly kept garden. There is music playing at every corner putting you in a very relaxed mood. Lastly, the pool, million dollar view!!! It was a perfect evening which left nothing to be desired. Thank you

The hotel itself is beautiful. Its setting in Ravello, the gardens, the views over the Amalfi Coast and the pool make it a very enjoyable place to stay. My wife and I stayed at Caruso in late August, and from the moment we arrived, I can honestly say that we were very pleased with every aspect of our stay. From the warm welcome we received at the hotel entrance, through the attentive and professional service at reception, to the breakfast team who looked after us each morning, every interaction with the staff was a pleasure. The apartment was beautiful, elegant and extremely comfortable, and I think what sets Caruso apart is its high standard of service. Every member of the staff was professional, attentive and really friendly. We liked the attention to detail and the feeling that the hotel team cared about making our stay special. Also, breakfast was a very enjoyable experience: excellent service and food quality, with a very good selection of fresh and carefully prepared dishes. The breakfast staff were attentive, friendly and discreet, and every morning we enjoyed breakfast with a wonderful view over the Amalfi Coast. We really enjoyed our stay. It was the combination of the beautiful setting, comfortable accommodation, very good breakfast and the attentive and friendly staff that made our stay a special one. We would happily recommend Caruso and would be very pleased to return.

I attended a wedding organised at/by Caruso during the full weekend of 21-23rd of August; everything was close to perfection starting from the staff and ending with the overall setting, atmosphere, views, etc. Really, an excellent hotel (or more than a hotel) !

From the moment you walk into Caruso, A Belmond Hotel until the moment you leave, everything is absolutely exceptional. This is one of those rare hotels that truly lives up to every expectation — and then exceeds it. The views are simply unreal. Pictures cannot capture how breathtaking it is to look out over the Amalfi Coast from high above Ravello. The grounds and gardens are immaculate and absolutely stunning, and everywhere you turn feels like a postcard. What really makes Caruso special, though, is the service. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm, friendly and incredibly accommodating. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we felt genuinely welcomed throughout our entire stay. The food was wonderful, but breakfast was especially memorable. Sitting outside in the morning, enjoying an incredible breakfast while looking out over the Amalfi Coast is something I will never forget. We traveled with our children, ages 5 and 9, and they absolutely loved Caruso as well. Sometimes a luxury hotel can feel a little too formal when traveling with young children, but that was never the case here. We all felt completely comfortable and welcomed, which made the experience even more special for us as a family. The location is also perfect. We loved being able to walk into the beautiful little town of Ravello, which has such a peaceful, charming feeling. The hotel is only about a five-minute walk from the main square, so exploring the town couldn’t be easier. And while you’re in Ravello, do not miss Cumpa’ Cosimo Trattoria! The owner stole our hearts. We started calling her “Grandma” because that’s exactly how she makes you feel — as though you’ve walked into her home and she wants to take care of you. She’s in her 80s and is truly one of the sweetest women. It was such an authentic and memorable experience. Caruso is more than just a beautiful hotel — it’s an experience. The views, the grounds, the food, the service, the warmth of the staff and the magic of Ravello made this one of the highlights of our time on the Amalfi Coast. We absolutely loved it and would return in a heartbeat. Truly exceptional from beginning to end. ❤️🇮🇹 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — unforgettable.
