Perched on a lush private peninsula on King Harbor in Redondo Beach, California, The Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club is an idyllic combination of sun and surf â€" one of the few truly oceanfront hotels in the Los Angeles area with waterfront views of the Pacific Ocean and picturesque King Harbor. Ocean breezes wash through the casually elegant decor of each guest room, creating a crisp and clean character, with hues of blue, yellow and white, fine linens, and sleek bathrooms adding just the right touch of luxury. Enjoy the view from your private balcony or move closer with a deck chair by the oceanfront pool and whirlpool. Full service fitness and business centers keep you in shape and in touch, while the whimsical setting of BALEEN Restaurant adds the final feather in Portofinoâ€(TM)s cap.

Came here the night of our wedding. We were told on the phone there would be something special for us in the room, but there wasn’t when we got here. However, we mentioned it to the front desk and they put together a nice complimentary arrangement that made up for everything. The room was gorgeous and we loved the ocean view. Room service was some of the best food we’ve had! And the staff was so kind. Gregory in particular made us feel very celebrated. We will be back!

Amazing property! Loved the Baleen Kitchen restaurant but what really sets this place apart, amazingly, is the valet staff. Shaw and Tony were just terrific and helped us above and beyond the call of duty.

The location and weather were amazing for the Summer Solstice party. This year the event was about $40 more than last year and sadly it delivered less. I have gone for three years and this will be my last. The Mexican area provided no guacamole- a staple. The margaritas were sour and unbalanced. The only good wine was the Robert Mondavi Cab. The others were mediocre. Italian food consisted of meatballs and a caprese skewer...really!??Sushi was good, Chaucuterie was good. For $123, this was not the event I would have expected. We wanted ice cream for dessert and the truck left an hour+ before the event ended. Disappointed.
