Great pool area with drinks flowing and plenty of chairs and cabanas. Very comfortable bed nice clean room, plenty of elevators to get you up and down. Great choices for food and quick snacks. Classic casino lots of choices for all types of players. Excellent poker room lots of table and action . A would like to give an extra shout out for going above and beyond for customer service to Brenda in the gift shop, and Sam the waitress in the pool area both women were professional and courteous. Sam made sure are drinks were flowing at all times. Brenda was very polite and helpful in the gift shop. How ever for the rest of staff I dealt with they were walking zombies, the dealers at table game have zero personality. They might want to go to school to learn how to communicate with players, I get it's a job but some casual conversations or a smile goes along way when all you care about is taking the players money. I told both Sam and Brenda they were they nicest people I met for the 2 days we stayed. Made sure to tip sam well. And left Brenda an 18 tip for a mountain dew. All because she said she remembered me from the night before and had a smile on her face. Would recommend staying at peppermil but would go to another casino for gambling.

We went to Hot August Nights for our 7th time. We were going to stay at the Grand Sierra as we had done on previous trips. There was no mention on their website about no car show events at their resort due to ongoing construction. Luckily I found out before going and cancelled my reservation. I knew about and had visited the Peppermill Resort to view cars on previous visits. I called and they still had some rooms in the Peppermill Tower. I was totally impressed and will return again. Everything you need is there and they are fully staffed with great employees. We ate at full service restaurants and had snacks/drinks throughout the resort. Service and quality were above average. Prices were high but it was during Hot August Nights when it seems everybody raises prices. Our room ended up being a ADA room which was fine. We did visit the pool twice during our stay and that was also nice. No overly loud blasting music. The self parking garage had plenty of space. The car show was the best of any of the resorts in Reno/Sparks. Only problem we had was the wifi not working the 1st day of our stay.

My husband and I have stayed here twice this year. We find as that we have gotten older, Vegas is a lot less appealing as a destination for us but we still love to spend time in a casino. We have had so much fun staying here this year and have had a great time in their casino. The restaurants here also provide great options no matter what food mood you’re in! The food has been amazing and the service top notch! Both times we stayed the room was incredibly clean which is always most important to me when traveling. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can and have dubbed this our new favorite grown up destination. Highly recommend!

Huge, huge hotel. Not my idea of fun!! Got the car parked, no valet, finally found our room after going to the wrong tower......Huge room and bathroom was nice after the Best Western in Burley, Idaho. Managed to find dinner at the Oceano restaurant. Average seafood. Fish and chips were an 8 out of 10, scallops the same. Entree should arrive after the diners are done with their salads! Poor table location next to the kitchen. We should have said something. Waiter was fine. I'm sure this type of hotel is more for the party type and the type who doesn't get lost in huge surroundings. Give me a 50 unit hotel with front door parking any day! But we thought we'd give it a try. The $50 breakfast was a first.

The rooms and parking garage are going through a remodel so there was some noise and detours that were kind of annoying. The rooms definitely need a makeover as they are outdated. We had to ask every day for shower essentials as they put the bare minimum in the rooms. The pools were nice but could use some cleaning. The gym is clean and nicely equipped. The arcade has been updated but still overpriced.
