Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

I had the pleasure of Staying here while on a business trip. Overall great experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They worked hard to fulfill and requests. Accommodations were what you would expect from Hilton. Rooms were clean. On site dining was great. Breakfast would get quite busy, especially on the weekends, but the staff was quick to get you something if they ran out. Overall Location is hard to beat with the Copacabana and Leme beach access right across the street. Special recognition to Rogerio in the Lounge, for always being welcoming, striving to make the stay as best as possible, and giving great recommendations; Thayna on the 4th floor dining at Clari for the warm hospitality and friendliness (and lots of scoops of Acai Sorbet); Marico Campos up on the 39th Floor Rooftop Bar for great conversations, excellent service, and putting up with my work colleagues! I will stay here again next time I am visiting Rio.

I have stayed in many hotels in Rio, mainly for work, and occasionally for leisure… This Hilton is a total shame for its name! It is not vintage, it is simply completely dated. Everything is old and falling apart. The smell in most areas is disgusting. In my room now (September 2026) and in July 2026: - there is mold to be seen everywhere - the curtains are damp and smell of mold & fungus - some nails on the wall, but paintings are gone (obviously black stripes visible) - don’t open the cupboards: it is gross inside and the smell unbearable - the lighting is crazy: you need sunglasses to bear it - the old fridge is so loud, had to unplug it Do to my health concern about the mold is so many places, I will contact the health authorities and my company (who put me in this hotel)! If I compare this to the Hilton in São Paulo, a real jewel, I think they should close this dump down asap!

Nice location, great breakfeast. But the building and the rooms are in need of a renovation. The beds are too small.

Very good location next to the beach, excellent breakfast options, Good and friendly service. Highly suggested. Especially, thank you to Carla in the restaurant for her very kind service and attitude all the time.

We spent a wonderful week at this hotel. The staff are absolutely fantastic and so friendly . The rooftop bar/ bistro is a great place to relax with amazing views. We are lucky enough to be Hilton diamond members and were given a handmade chocolate model of the Sugarloaf cable car. It tasted delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay next year when we come back to visit our son who is a cardiologist at Samaritano Botafogo Hospital.
