On the plus side, it’s a well-located hotel by the beach with comfortable rooms. Guests can use a designated section of the beach supervised by a hotel staff member. A major downside, however, is that you can’t really count on the hotel to help with arranging airport transfers or hiring a guide — concierge services are outsourced to a separate company, which, instead of answering questions, just spams guests with offers of group tours. Breakfast is crowded, and the hotel also lacks a good restaurant. On the bright side, the rooftop bar offers beautiful views

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Hilton Rio! The hotel itself is amazing – from the unbeatable location right on the beach to the stunning views that made every moment feel special. Our room was large, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a fantastic selection and the most beautiful views to start the day. The rooftop pool is also incredible – the views from up there are breathtaking and it’s the perfect place to unwind. The staff were absolutely outstanding – warm, welcoming, and always ready to go above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Special thanks to Rogerio in the lounge (ground floor) whose warmth and friendliness made us feel welcome. Our prototype room felt modern and offered an ocean view. The views from the rooftop bar were incredible. Fitness center was well-appointed. While breakfast was often crowded, they provide an area for Gold and Diamond members that is more peaceful, which we appreciated. Five stars as well to the pastry chef--best welcome amenity ever! Such a treat!

They were very accommodating about check in and check out times. Location is very nice. Breakfast room is chaotic and the price is too expensive. In my room I heard the elevator all the time. The hotel is kept very cold. Luckily you can turn off the a/c in the room. Bathroom has poor lighting.

I stayed in an ocean front view room with very beautiful views on Copacabana beach. My room was rather aged and it should undergo renovations. But it was well kept and perfectly clean. Moreover, all the hotel staff I met were really great. I particularly remember Thais, she was really outstanding. But also Beatriz, Eduardo Frank, Fabiana and the other executive lounge staff (I am sorry to not remember all their names) did a really great job. I will gladly return.
