PROS -reasonably priced on Expedia -very friendly staff from front desk (Chaucin?) to waiters on top (Renan) -very clean -comfortable beds and linens CONS -no water in the room -unfriendly staff at breakfast -no option to get a coffee and some toast or pastries (they wanted to charge me for a full buffet I said NO) -no wine glasses or wine openers in the room -chair cushions all over the hotel are SHOT -WAY TOO COLD in the lobby -CLEAN AIR CONDITIONERS since rooms and areas smell like MOLD (NOT HEALTHY) -a bit out dated furniture and you need more electric outlets -they would NOT HONOR my HONORS since it was made with EXPEDIA- that should not be this way especially as a 35+ year member ALL IN ALL it's a decent Hilton property

Not Hilton Standards. Tours Gone Wild recommended this hotel so we went with it for location & Hilton name. We are Silver Honors members as we typically stay at Marriotts. At checking we upgraded to Exective King w/Beachfront view. About $125+ per night...Thinking Diamond Executive Lounge would more than make up cost. What a disappointment. We will be back in a week for Carnival, originally thought about upgrading but after these 2 first nights, no way. It was suggested that I talk to Manager, Antonio about my issues. He was not available. This is a one & done type of place, they figure you won't be back so that is how you are treated. See photos of evening spread in Executive lounge. Bananas, cupcakes, pickles, beans & flatbreads..Bean Soup was actually very good. No Cheese, no salad no canapes, no hot horsdourves.

The hotel is in a great location. It’s right across the road from the famous copacabana Beach. The view from the rooftop bar is also amazing. The room itself was a little dated but we only spent one night there. We would go back to this hotel if we came back to Rio. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The rooms were clean and the views from our room to the beach wonderful. However it was quite a sterile environment in that the staff were not always accommodating to our English which was a communication barrier at times. I asked for a face washer to be sent to the room but over 3 days it never came. The rooms were not cleaned during the 3 days. There was no facility to wash The sand off on our feet before entering the hotel. We received a packed breakfast on our 5 am departure which was helpful.

Fabulous location with outstanding views and super helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Yes, it is in need of a refresh as a bit dated but rooms, cleanliness, facilities are all good. Very comfy beds. What made it for us was the friendliness and helpful staff who were wonderful from check in to leaving. Wished we could have stayed longer. Super breakfast choice . Beware it is very busy but food is constantly being replenished. The man working the omelette station is amazing. He can multi task and produce superb omelettes All in all Hilton brand is a good choice.
