We were told we were upgraded to this hotel from its sister hotel across the road the Windsor Martinique . The hotel has a modern reception , checking was extremely slow even having 6 people behind reception, complementary drink was a nice touch , we were given a room for disabled people(513) but not told at reception and had I have been staying more than one night would have requested a change . The toilet seat was badly broken and for this standard hotel should have been changed promptly . The bathroom sink was very low , disabled access , one bedroom light was always dimly on . Breakfast options are great and service at breakfast was also great . Porter services were also very good , being prompt and friendly .

This is not a 5 star hotel. The common areas are small cramped and uninviting. The hotel is dated and the rooms whilst large are soulless and very dark. The staff are underwhelming. The rooftop area is tiny and gets very crowded. The breakfast was poor so we ate out each day.

Really looking forward to our stay here and it has been good … but not 5*. It’s hard to explain what is lacking without sounding nit-picking but it just doesn’t live up to 5* expectations. The room is a good size although a little dated, the bathroom a bit old fashioned (it still has a bidet … nobody has these anymore… everything is gold/brass tapped and the jacuzzi bath (again something from the 1980’s) doesn’t work. In fact the fancy swivel tap over the sink leaks so water covers the surround surface. The tv is not connected to the internet so you have no idea what channels are available and what is even on … it’s nice to do that while you’re getting ready for the evening sometimes. And to top it all the In-room coffee is charged for should you wish to use it. Having been told it was unsafe to walk around the area, We had dinner in on our first night but that was largely due to the incredible rainfall that we had each evening which is totally outside the hotels control, but we didn’t realise it was the rainy season. For us we had the spaghetti j the Italian restaurant. I know it’s common to have it a little al dente but this was double dente! On the plus side breakfast is very nice. There is plenty of choice and the staff are all very helpful. Would we stay here again?… yes but at the beginning of our holiday not the end because the hotels we were at before this were a real step up!

We had an excellent stay at the Windsor Miramar. The location is unbeatable, right across from the beach, and the hotel offers great facilities, all very clean and well maintained. The service was outstanding, especially from Nicolás and the front desk team, who were always attentive and made sure everything was perfect. They also provided great recommendations for tours and helped us book reservations at some of the best restaurants in Rio. A hotel we would definitely recommend — we look forward to coming back!

The hotel is in a great location by Copacabana beach The staff we met on the reception were excellent The room was lovely and comfortable Housekeeping were excellent Unfortunately when we were in Rio de janiero the weather was cloudy with rain so we didn’t experience the city with blue skies We still had a wonderful time at the hotel We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and ate at the hotel restaurant every night The food was amazing but the service was exceptional Special mention goes to Rodrigo Correa who enhanced our meal with his hospitality A real credit to the hotel All the staff were wonderful Credit also to Luana and Ana Luiza for making us so welcome Breakfast at the hotel was excellent also Would highly recommend this hotel
