Miramar Hotel by Windsor

This hotel is very good. It is located right on the beach, 30 seconds from the hotel. You can actually be on the beach. Very good. Breakfast is fine—fantastic. Everything you need, including the odd people who like champagne for breakfast. This is included. The rooms aren't massive, but they're good. I'm a little disappointed I haven't got an outside balcony I'd like to sit on. However, if you go up to the 16th floor, there is a pool area with beds, and above that, there's a little seating area. Very nice and relaxing, but be careful. The food is good. It's an Italian-based menu—plentiful and tasty. Room service is very good. Overall, it's a really good hotel.

What a marvellous hotel this was. Cannot fault it. Best parts, the amazing pool bar with views of the beach and sugar loaf. But the best thing is the staff. All immaculate and courteous, we were made to feel safe and well cared for. Breakfast and Alloro restaurant were very nice too. I wish i could remember all the names of the staff. However Pedro sticks in my mind as he kept the cocktails coming and made 2 old ladies very happy! Highly recommend

Staff was super friendly and efficient. Rooms are great. Ours had a great view of Copacabana beach. Very walkable area that felt safe. Common areas including rooftop bar were attractive.

Miramar means a sea view and although the view from the rooftop pool will take your breath away, a seaview room is also a must to experience this hotel to its most. Initially booked in a partial seaview room, we were a bit disappointed. Although the room itself was decent: big and clean, it was dark because of its position overlooking an imposing building and the partial seaview was not that obvious. A switch to the deluxe seaview room changed the whole experience. I couldn’t believe the difference! Thank you Danielle and the team for making our stay remarkable! You guys, made our holiday with that room switch and we will be remembering this stay for years to come. A few words to address issues raised in other reviews: I didn’t find the hotel tired, although I am very picky. It’s not a super modern hotel, but it is well maintained and both rooms that we stayed in were in good condition, supplied with bathrobes, slippers and enough towels and toiletries. Comfy beds too. Everyone from bellboys to the rooftop bar personnel was very friendly, polite and attentive. The swimming pool turned out to be bigger than I expected - you can actually swim in it and the pool area was never crowded. Breakfast was magnificent: lots of choice and healthy options. The selection of fresh fruit beat all the hotels I’ve been before. The hotel provides a complimentary 1.5l bottle of water per day, but what struck me as unusual was a charge for coffee capsules and no tea or ironing facilities in the room. However, upon request these items were provided. To sum it up - great location, excellent service and room with a direct sea view was a game changer. Thank you all at Miramar.

This hotel is superb. We had a stunning luxury room with a magnificent view of Copacabana beach. The hotel staff could not do enough for you and were really friendly and welcoming. Our hotel room was kept spotlessly clean and we loved the little extras. We enjoyed the rooftop bar with the swimming pool. The staff made fantastic cocktails and we had lunch there a few times too which were very tasty. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to the beach, bars and restaurants. This is one of those hotels that go the extra mile to make you feel special. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.
