Reviews for Miramar Hotel by Windsor

Fantastic Hotel great location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel is superb. We had a stunning luxury room with a magnificent view of Copacabana beach. The hotel staff could not do enough for you and were really friendly and welcoming. Our hotel room was kept spotlessly clean and we loved the little extras. We enjoyed the rooftop bar with the swimming pool. The staff made fantastic cocktails and we had lunch there a few times too which were very tasty. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to the beach, bars and restaurants. This is one of those hotels that go the extra mile to make you feel special. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Racist hotel. Avoid at all cost if you are not white.

This hotel is super racist. Avoid it. I unfairly got blocked to go up to the hotel (I’m an Asian) my white friend got in. When I escalated, they got physical and vocal with Me, as a woman I felt threatened and started filling. They blocked me.:so disrespectful and unnecessary, unprofessional.

Old-fashioned by enjoyable

Great hotel in an old fashioned way. Staff friendly. Water replenished every day. Great location for Copacabana with few lovely cafes in surrounding streets. Rooms are generous, bed was huge.

Great holiday - Amazing hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We loved Rio but our holiday was made special by this hotel.Perfect location across the road from Copacabana beach with its own private area where you are supplied with water, fruits and chairs/parasols.Lovely rooftop bar - great way to spend a late evening as well as a cool down swim in the day.Delicious food in the hotel restaurant and as has been mentioned in other reviews the best breakfast possible.Staff are faultless - special mention to Danielle on reception who (amongst other things) sorted out football tickets for the Maracana,Djaci in the restaurant for my "Fillet Mignon"and his patience for fussy eaters and Valcier, the smiliest barman ever.If you are going to Rio this is the number 1 choice.

Good option on Copacabana Beach

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Exceptionally professional staff throughout the hotel. Good breakfast and the entire breakfast crew was very accommodating and Fabio as terrific as breakfast manager and even opened it up a little early for us to grab something before our flight. Good location on Copacabana beach with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. Rooftop pool is nice too. 4 stars due to periphery charges for things like an empty glass for wine, a set of cutlery for your room and things like that which should be complimentary. Laundry charges also excessive. Overall a good choice if you want a big brand hotel on Copacabana. Opt for the bigger room here facing the beach and watch the sunrise. It’s worth it.
