Miramar Hotel by Windsor

A wonderful experience, the hotel has amazing views from the rooftop, the rooms are luxurious and clean and the service is excellent. A special mention for the reception staff, especially the lady who was complimentary of my son’s Portuguese skills

We had a wonderful stay at Miramar Hotel! The highlight of our experience was the incredible staff who truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Cristina, our housekeeper, was an absolute gem—so helpful, kind, and attentive. She provided exceptional service every day and made sure we were always happy and comfortable. The front desk team—Daniella, Gabriel, Thiago and Anna—were consistently warm, professional, and efficient. They made check-ins, questions, and daily interactions a breeze with their friendly attitudes and genuine hospitality. A special shoutout to Renato, who was incredibly sweet and made such a positive impression. His encouragement actually inspired me to want to speak and learn Portuguese! Overall, the staff made our experience at Miramar Hotel unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We needed a centrally situated hotel for our two night stay in Rio prior to our cruise. We were very satisfied with our stay at the Miramar by Windsor. The check in staff were very courteous and helpful. We’d booked an executive double room with ocean view, and we had a glorious view of Copacabana beach. The room was clean and very comfortable with a marble bathroom and a huge shower (no bath). Big flat screen TV, coffee machine, free bottled water, and the usual chocolate on the pillow. The breakfast buffet at £20 per person was wonderful. A huge range of food and the best tropical fruit I’ve had in years. They are continually replenishing the buffet so there’s lots to eat even if you go down late. I would highly recommend this hotel which was excellent value for money.

Fantastic hotel! Perfect location, directly on the beach, very kind stuff, fantastic breakfast with high quality food and good variety. Would definitely recommend and come back here! Beach chairs and towels are provided for free, very convenient.

You can’t ask for a better location, at the heart of Copacabana and easily within reach of thr key visitor attractions. The lobby rather sets the tone of a hotel and this one is functional. The staff were very welcoming and there was a glass of fizz as we did the bureaucracy. The room itself was reasonably large but the decor is very dated (80s) and it’s made clear that everything g except a daily bottle of water is extra including coffee. That said, we had a view of the ocean and being on an upper floor we weren’t disturbed by the noise from revellers or helicopters! Breakfast was so-so. There’s plenty of choice but things ran out and weren’t replenished.
