During my recent stay at Yoo2 in Rio de Janeiro, I was left feeling disappointed and disheartened. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations set by other reviews and recommendations. Here's why. From the moment I entered the hotel, the reception staff’s demeanor was indifferent at best. There was no warm welcome or any sense of hospitality, which is something I usually look forward to when checking into a hotel. The check-in process felt more like a formality than an invitation to enjoy my stay. The receptionist did not offer any information about the hotel, such as breakfast hours, Wi-Fi access, or any other amenities. Instead, I felt like I was imposing by asking questions, and his responses were curt and unhelpful. After settling into my room, I noticed it had an old appearance with outdated equipment. The windows made creaking noises whenever the wind blew, adding to the overall sense of discomfort. I also encountered issues with the Wi-Fi connection. When I called the front desk for assistance, the same receptionist advised me to log in as a "non-guest," which felt odd and did not solve the problem. This lack of support was frustrating and further tainted my experience. The only redeeming aspect of my stay was the breakfast. The food selection was decent, and the staff in the dining area was noticeably friendlier. They made sure I had what I needed and provided service with a smile, which was a stark contrast to the rest of the hotel experience. Given that this was not my first stay at Yoo2, I was particularly dismayed to notice a lack of acknowledgment for my "preferred stay" status. There were no mentions of any benefits or recognition for being a returning guest, which added to my sense of being overlooked. I use hotels in Rio as a way to unwind and relax from my daily routine, but unfortunately, my stay at Yoo2 did not provide the comfort or hospitality I was seeking.

We have been traveling for 6 weeks through South America and this was our favorite hotel. We had a room with a view overlooking sugarloaf and it was fantastic. Definitely recommend this hotel. Close to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was great. Certainly enough options. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Special thanks to Ivan at the rooftop bar, he was wonderful. Always ready to help.

The hotel YOO2 is real Nice hotel and what a view from the rooftop !!!!! And Felipe is a really nice person from the roof top bar, he offered us little something, thank u Felipe !!!! Je recommande fortement ce lieu, le coucher de soleil est à voir et à revoir !

Visited the hotel for the second time in 6 months for a business visit and so happy to see the standard and friendliness of the hotel and staff has remained exceptionally high…. Filipe and the team were yet again exceptional in terms of customer care. Prompt and friendly service thank you

great service, great staff. checkin was very easy. the bar at the roof everyone was friendly and helpful. instead of going out in lapa, i stayed at the hotel bar and they took great care of me. sundays are kinda dead in rio, so the yoo2 rooftop was a lifesaver.
