My friends and I had dinner at the rooftop restaurant and Junior was our server - he made sure to take care of us the whole night by answering all of our questions and consistently greeting us with a kind smile. He’s a fantastic server with great hospitality and made our experience worth it. I recommend starting your night here with a drink before getting dinner somewhere else, the price is not worth the quality of food you’re getting to be honest but the atmosphere is very beautiful.

The location is excellent. While it’s not directly on Copacabana Beach, there is a beach right across the street and the setting feels calmer and less chaotic. The views over Botafogo Bay and Sugarloaf are a real highlight. Check-in was smooth. As a Hilton Diamond member, I was able to use the breakfast benefit and received a room upgrade, which was appreciated. Breakfast was decent but fairly standard: fruits, cereals, breads, eggs, cakes, and juices. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The room was the standout. I was genuinely blown away by the view when I walked in. The room size was generous, with a modern, minimalist design that felt intentional, functional, clean, and stylish without being cold. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant, which is worth visiting for the atmosphere and views, but the food itself was average. It’s fine for a casual meal or drink, just don’t expect a “wow” dining experience. Overall, YOO2 Rio is a strong choice for location, views, and room design. It’s best suited for travelers who value scenery and a modern aesthetic more than luxury dining or resort-style amenities.

You definitely have to pay the extra to have the ocean view… it’s one of the most beautiful places in Rio! The restaurant on the terrace is quite good, staff is friendly, I got excellent service by Ivan. The only little cons is the gym, it’s a little small and they only have light dumbbells. But if you don’t have high standards like I do for gyms you will love this place!
