It's a beautiful property, but I wouldn't recommend it or go back. We booked 2 queen beds, but somehow got "upgraded" to a room with 2 double beds. This was less than ideal for a family of 4. My son fell out of bed and got really hurt and was shaken up the first night. I called the next morning on our way out to an excursion to request a room change. They said the supervisor wasn't in yet, but they would check once they arrived and call me back. No one ever called me so I had to go to the front desk again later in the day and fight with them about it. They didn't understand why I wanted to "downgrade" to a room with bigger beds and said they were fully booked. Eventually they were able to move us to a new room around 9pm. The last thing I want to do while I am on vacation is have to constantly follow up on when an issue will be fixed. There were lights under the bed that went on every time we even slightly rolled in bed. Luckily they weren't as bright or sensitive in the 2nd room, but the first night no one got any sleep. You also needed to make reservations for dinner at all of the restaurants. I think some you don't need to when they aren't as busy, but since they were fully booked while we were there, you had to make reservations. That's another thing I don't like to do while on vacation. I want to relax and not be on a schedule, so having to plan dinner days in advance was a turn off for me. The food at the restaurants was not great and over priced and we had some really bad service. (Wrong meal, spilled water all over my husband and our table, kept forgetting to bring out the bread we asked for then finally brought it out with our dinner an hour later, forgetting drink orders, etc.)

My family had a great stay at the Hyatt. It was great for kids (my daughters are 3 and 2). We booked a suite and it was like a 1 bedroom apartment. I would definitely go back to this resort next year!

Beautiful, well maintained, with plenty of options for kids, including a Kids Club with different activities every hour! Nanette runs the club and she is awesome!

I came to the Hyatt Regency Grand for my birthday trip and fell in love! The martini bar is my favorite with the best bartender Richard. I had the best food and lychee martinis (yes more than one) !

Rooms and gardens are well maintained, beach is rocky with lots of sea weed so if you actually want to spend time in the beach, look elsewhere or rent a car to drive out. The resort operates way beyond capacity, meaning they do not have nearly enough employees for the amount of guests. You will wait for everything. It would be comical if it wasn’t so inconvenient. You will wait 30-40 minutes to be seated at restaurants (for Nori or Prime, you will need to reserve seats a week before arrival or you won’t be able to eat there). You will then wait 45-50 minutes for your food after sitting (terrible for families with babies or toddlers). The only exception was Nectar, which functions well because it is not a hotel operated restaurant (and is the only one worth its price). Televisions also did not work in either of our rooms (poor connection to all channels). The hotel misses in so many opportunities to provide a nice experience or sell more. There’s so much space but no seating, so many guests who may buy a drink by the pool or beach but no one serving. Last gripe, many staff members drive golf carts very quickly and many are texting or watching videos while they do, with so many children running around it seems very unsafe. The restaurant staff and bellmen were very friendly and accommodating, main highlight about this resort that helped compensate for many other shortcomings.
