Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach & Golf Resort

Beautiful rooms and campus. Very clean and all staff were very nice. A must do beyond beach and pool, is to watch Reynold Alexander in The Case of the Missing guest.

We had an incredible stay at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort and would definitely come back! The rooms were nicely renovated, very clean and surprisingly quiet, which made for a very restful stay. While they are on the pricier side, it was absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. Our children had an absolute blast spending hours at the pool with the water slides, and we loved how convenient it was to walk straight onto the beach. The golf course was amazing and beautifully maintained as well. Plus, being so close to El Yunque National Forest made exploring the rainforest effortless. A special shoutout to our server, Juan, at breakfast! He was so warm and friendly, and his local recommendations made our trip extra special. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we can't wait to return!

Mirethnie was amazing! She was attentive and friendly. The food and drinks arrived quickly. We had a large group and were celebrating an 18th birthday. We were able to decorate the cabana and make the birthday special.

We stayed for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort grounds are spacious, so it never felt overcrowded. There are several dining options on the property, which was very convenient. However, if you'd like to explore restaurants or attractions outside the resort, you'll need a car, as there isn't much within walking distance. The location is excellent for visiting places like El Yunque National Forest and Luquillo Beach, both of which are only about a 10–15 minute drive away. The resort offers several pools to choose from, but the pool with the waterslide and splash zone is by far the most popular. If you'd like to secure a lounge chair, it's best to arrive early. The rooms were clean, updated, and featured very comfortable beds. My only significant concern was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. The walls are extremely thin, making it easy to hear conversations and other noise from neighboring rooms. In addition, the connecting door between our room and the adjacent room only had a single door instead of the typical double-door design. Because of this, we could see into the neighboring room through the gap around the door as guests walked by, which felt uncomfortable and raised privacy and security concerns. Overall, this is a great resort for families with children, especially those looking for a convenient location, multiple dining options, and plenty of activities on the property.

I had the best experience at Rio Mar. The entire staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Jacob, our waiter at breakfast was absolutely delightful. He made our experience 10x better. He was so kind and generous. He went over and beyond to ensure that we had a great time and didn’t go without. His generosity definitely made us feel special and seen. We enjoyed him so much the first day we had to request him again for breakfast throughout the duration of our stay. The check-in and check-out was easy and efficient. Giovanni was so kind and helpful with answering any questions we had. He even helped me print out some forms for work. This is by far the best experience I’ve had so far. The hotel and rooms were up-to-date, clean and comforting. I’ll be sure to recommend this property to the travel agents and consumers I work with at Delta Vacations. Top tier hotel when it comes to service, staff, location, amenities and appearance!!!
