Staff was all so helpful and friendly. Good vibes, clean rooms and great dining options. Pools were a lot of fun, the frozen drinks were perfect, and +1 for the water slide. Also the explorers club for our 7 year old was the cherry on top. We thought we'd have her in tears taking her away from the pool but she loved the program and instructors. They were so kind and engaging with her. Would definitely go back!

Forth time to the resort but first time to this wonderful restaurant. The service (Melvin and Ashley) were incredible, the food was amazing. Love the mocktails, very unique and delicious. We will be back!

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar this past week and truly could not have had a better experience! We traveled with our 5- and 3-year-old boys, and this property was absolutely perfect for young kids. A special shoutout to Humberto with GSI Transportation, who coordinated our ground transportation both ways and made sure we had both a booster seat and car seat ready for our rides. We felt incredibly safe and taken care of from the moment we arrived. Humberto even came over to personally introduce himself and say goodbye at checkout - such a thoughtful touch! We got to the property pretty early (around 1 PM) and, as Wyndham Rewards Platinum members, were able to check in right away with no issues. The renovated rooms are beautiful! We stayed in an ocean view double queen room, and while a larger space would have been nice with two little ones, it worked perfectly for us since we were really only in the room to sleep and get ready. The bathroom was honestly my favorite part - so functional and thoughtfully designed whether you’re traveling solo or as a family of four. We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning, and every meal was delicious and arrived within 30 minutes! Every single staff member we encountered was incredible. I truly don’t think we met one person who didn’t have a smile on their face. Shelly, Laurie, Marina, and Miguel at the Turtle Cove pool were amazing and made our stay extra special. From gem hunts and Disney music trivia to noodle races, they always seemed to appear at the perfect time when the kids needed a little extra entertainment. We had lunch by the pool every day - pizza, chicken tenders, burgers - and everything was honestly delicious (and I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to food!). I especially want to recognize Chayanne and Edgardo at Roots. We ended up eating there almost every night because it was so family friendly, and we specifically requested them because they were incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely made dining with two young children so much easier. Their service was exceptional, and by the end of the trip they truly felt like family. The food at Roots was fantastic as well - my husband tried so many different dishes and not once was he disappointed. Overall, we had a fabulous stay at Rio Mar and can’t wait to come back. Thank you to the entire team for making our vacation so memorable! P.S. - Don’t miss the daily iguana feeding at 11 AM - such a fun experience for the kids!
