The Buenaventura Golf & Beach Resort Panama, Autograph Collection

This resort has the potential to be great, but it needs some updating. The wear and tear is evident. Our room was upgraded because both the TV and phone did not work which was very nice - so it was a much bigger room but still felt dated. The staff were all very nice but no one is rushing to serve you. Only two of the restaurants were open for dinner but they were both very good, the food was fresh and tasty. The outdoor and pool areas were lovely. Good value.

This was our second stay at The Buenaventura Golf & Beach Resort, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the ocean while enjoying a top-quality golf course. The hotel has beautiful pools, some ideal for couples and others great for families, so there’s something for everyone. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice and was excellent each morning. As a Titanium member, I was treated exceptionally well — upgraded to a spacious room overlooking the pools, which made the stay even better. The staff throughout the resort were professional and welcoming. Overall, a great place to relax, play golf, and enjoy Panama’s Pacific coast.

A fairly relaxed, clean, pleasant and exclusive environment. I liked the views of the lakes. The food at the Criollo restaurant was 10/10.

We had a great experience at this resort. Our room was comfortable and clean. Service was consistently attentive and friendly, including warm hospitality over multiple days by server Eliecer. The pools and beach were great. Overall a wonderful, relaxing stay... we'd come again in a heartbeat.

The Buenaventura Beach & Golf Ressort has a truly stunning location, and the grounds and architecture make for an incredibly relaxing, visually beautiful stay. There’s a lot to love here – especially the dinner experience at the main restaurant, which was a real highlight during our visit. The food was well-prepared, flavorful, and nicely presented. El Faro also delivered consistently excellent service and quality. That said, a few things detracted from the overall experience: • Breakfast was a letdown – it lacked the quality and consistency you’d expect from a property at this level. • Rooms are beginning to show signs of wear and could benefit from some refurbishment. • Pool restrooms were in surprisingly poor condition and didn’t reflect the standards of a luxury resort. Overall, it’s a beautiful property with a lot of charm and potential – and with a few upgrades and more attention to detail, it could be truly exceptional.
