Reviews for Amrit Ocean Resort & Spa

Not a “Resort”, it’s a Hotel. Not 5 stars at all-more like 3.5 star hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My partner and I decided to take a weekend vacation and we booked the Amrit resort, Which is supposed to be a beautiful 5 star resort Right on the ocean. Unfortunately, it was not the relaxing upscale experience that we were hoping for. You have certain expectations of a 5 star resort, and they were definitely not met. -This “resort” , Which should be just called a ‘’Hotel”, was definitely Not 5 stars. It is more like a 3.5 star Experience. I would say the biggest issue is that this hotel is severely understaffed. It’s almost like a ghost town there. There was only one pool attendant, and there was only one beach attendant. So after walking all the way to the beach, you have to set up your own chairs and grab your own towels, and anytime you need water or drinks, you have to go and walk all the way back to the attendant desk. Which makes the beach experience more exhausting -Initially, they booked us in the wrong room. We brought our bags up and realized it was not the correct room and we let them know. They said they would bring up the key in 15 minutes or less so that we could move to the room next to us, and it took them at least 45 minutes, and I had to call down twice. -There is only one restaurant at this hotel, which is completely absurd. I don’t know how you’re supposed to stay at a resort for multiple days and eat at the same place every time. -The food at the restaurant and the room service food was literally disgusting. They charge us $140 for breakfast and every item was wrong, they forgot half of the items, and the food was either bland or not what I ordered. The coffee was bitter and watery. -The Lack of restaurants and gross food and coffee wouldn’t have been Such a big issue if it was in a better location. But the resort is in a pretty excluded location, so there’s no restaurants or coffee, shops, or bars that are walkable or even a short Uber away. -There were a lot of things that were either missing or broken from our room. They were small things, but they started to add up. There was no clock, the bathroom exhaust fan was broken, two of the lights in the room were broken, there were no slippers in the room, our fridge was broken, there was no tea and little to no sugar/sweetener/cream. Among a few other things. -They charged us for an extra night, which we had to eventually call them to OK take off -Anytime we asked for something to be brought up to the room, it would take 1 to 2 hours and we would have to call multiple times.. -there is no mini bar or snacks in the room, even for purchase. And there is no place in the hotel to buy any snack, snacks, so you literally have to go to the store to buy any snacks or drinks you want for your room. Which is pretty ridiculous. -All in all, it was not a great experience and it is not a place that we would ever return to. If it was cheaper and it was presented and labeled as a 3.5 star resort, people could adjust their expectations better and maybe not be so disappointed

The Amrit Hair Salon

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

"I highly recommend the Amrit Hair Salon to anyone looking for a personalized and professional hair experience. Kimber is truly an artist when it comes to highlighting my hair!!!! She makes me look like a natural blonde and I have dark hair. Not only is she an artist she is extremely professional and always on time…… I am very happy that I met her and she’s the only person I will allowed to highlight and cut my hair. I’ve never had a bad hair experience with her, not once. Highly recommend her 10 stars.

Wonderful Trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I went to the Amrit on a girls trip to celebrate our friend's birthday and could not have been more impressed with this resort. Every single staff member that we came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. EVERY SINGLE ONE for all four days. They even surprised my friend with balloons and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign in the room! We ate and had drinks at the bar in the lobby, had lunch as part of our Thursday spa package and breakfast one morning and dinner one evening at their restaurant and the food was phenomenal for every meal. Lots of healthy and Vegan options too. The spa had so many bells and whistles that we all were impressed. It was absolutely the BEST massage I have ever received and my friends commented similarly regarding their treatments. While I didn't use it, I do like that there is a separate elevator that goes from each floor down to the spa so you don't have to go into the lobby if you want to wear your robe down. The resort is only a couple of years old so everything is brand new. Since it was shoulder season, they didn't have the downstairs bar's pizza ovens going but we did enjoy a drink down there and it was a large, fun area to hang out in after being at the private beach. I appreciated that the beach loungers and umbrellas were included in the resort fee. I loved that the rooms come with a mini-fridge and each floor offers filtered or carbonated water near the ice machine. The beds were comfy and I was very happy that the shower offered two heads and not just a rain shower. I am not a tub person but those that are would appreciate the large soaking tub. The area itself is not super lively but we did have a nice dinner not far away and there are other hotels with restaurants if someone wanted to go off property for a meal. They are getting another restaurant in the future so people will have that option. I would say that this if a fabulous destination for couples or for a relaxing, fun girls trip. The Amrit is not adult only but I did not see any children and they do not have a Kid's Club so I would probably explore other options if I had little ones.

Amrit Ocean Resort: Serenity, Luxury, and Heartfelt Hospitality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Amrit Ocean Resort in Riviera Beach is truly a slice of paradise. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, modern, elegant, and so comfortable. The spacious balconies overlooking the ocean are breathtaking, offering the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of the Atlantic. Every single person I encountered, from the valet to the front desk to the spa and wellness staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The spa is beyond luxurious, with every detail designed to create a sense of serenity and renewal. From the moment you arrive, the service is impeccable. I’d especially like to recognize Ricardo at the front desk. His personable, friendly, and welcoming manner is in a class by itself. He immediately made me feel at home and set the tone for the entire stay. In the spa area, Zach stood out as well, so accommodating, kind, and centered that just being around him brought a sense of calm. Amrit Ocean Resort is more than a hotel. It’s an experience of luxury, wellness, and heartfelt hospitality. I can’t wait to return.

Better than The Breakers 🙌

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Absolutely amazing experience! Ricardo and the front desk is truly the best at customer service EVER. The entire staff was accommodating to all. The spa is next level, best in South Florida hands down and maybe even the US. Alayne, Emily and Zach were so helpful and classy. We actually prefer the Amrit to the Breakers which has always been our go to until now. Amrit, job well done. We will be back.
