Joshua from Roatan activities (with Kimpton Grand Roatan) organized our activities and it was great! He was able to get us back to back excursions for horseback riding and a dolphin experience with lunch in-between. When we tried to book the dolphin experience on our own, it showed as sold out. Joshua even helped us to get photos from the dolphin experience when we did not receive them all from the company right after we left. Thank you to Joshua and our driver with Roatan excursions!

Joshua with the activities desk did a great job organizing a private guided half day snorkel excursion for our family of 4 on a last minute’s notice. We went to 3 separate spots (blue channel, starfish and a shipwreck), took a pass through the mangroves, and stopped for lunch at a cute spot on Palmetto Bay. Beautiful day out on the water, and would definitely do it again.

We had a wonderful 10 nights at this hotel. The property is spacious and well maintained. Staff were warm, attentive and helpful. Christopher at the bell stand as well as the front desk staff who checked us in made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, spacious and well maintained. The balcony had a nice view of the swimming pool and the sea. We had all our meals at the hotel restaurants. Staff at Alera and Sea Cat were outstanding. They made us feel at home. Great food and service. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the beach. We will stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Roatan.

My husband and I stayed in one of the bungalows. We really enjoyed the quietness and everything was comfortable. Our fridge did leak and as soon as we called the front desk someone was there to fix it. Humidity was pretty bad in the room the ac ran constantly and everything was damp. Beach: we had one beautiful beach day and good weather. So many colorful fish right in front of the hotel. It rained and was chilly the rest of our stay. Food: the most memorable food was dinner at Alera restaurant. Grilled lobster was amazing! We also had a tomahawk steak which was very good! Props to the chef! Vibes: the grounds and hotel are very beautiful. LOTS of kids and families. I would say this property caters to families with children. It would be nice if they had a space dedicated for adults only. Even at the bar kids were everywhere running around and yelling. Not the vibe we wanted for our vacation. This was a very expensive trip and I’m not sure we wouldn’t return because of the kid factor unfortunately . This also was the first time experiencing a really snooty snobby clientele at a resort it was LOL BAD! Most of the staff were very nice and helpful.
