Samoset Resort On The Ocean

The resort is great. It has the nicest golf course on the property. The views of the ocean are beautiful.

We stopped here for a night on our way to Bar Harbor. The property is lovely, great views, but the amenities itself seem to be very outdated. Reminds me of a family resort from the 80/90's that hasn't quite known how to use technology to modernize services. Disappointed when we arrived and went to the pool at 5:00pm, that there were no drink/food options available. Nothing. You could order food from the restaurant, but they would not deliver to the pool area. Pool area was very outdated but had lovely views. Our room was nice, we had a hot tub, and the walk to the lighthouse was cool, but I can't justify the cost. Compared to other places we've stayed this one offered less amenities and activities. It's a bit old school.

We had a great time at the Samoset in June for a wedding. It was spectacular! Wish we had time for the golf and pool but overall it was perfect!

I had the pleasure of staying at the two bedroom cottage with family. The two bedroom layout is perfect for families or couples on vacation. Having a full kitchen as well as two huge bathrooms was convenient but the sunroom was my favorite. The panoramic windows provide unobstructed views of the golf course and the beautiful coast. It is a luxurious space and everything was impeccably clean. The resort is a great balance of activities and relaxation. There are many activities offered, my grandsons favorite was disc golf and of course the nightly S’mores at the fire pit. The pool was pristine and provides peaceful views of the bay. The staff is the best, always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend The Samoset as a perfect ultimate coastal treat!

This is truly the Pebble Beach of the east. The setting on the coast, in Rockland, Maine is beautiful .Gorgeous views out over Penobscot Bay. The amenities, including pool, play area, golf course, and of course the rooms with views are the best! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and added greatly to our stay. Very family accommodating.
