About the Hotel

Aleph Hotel Rome is a departure from the traditional Roman retreat. Designed by the renowned Adam Tihany, this former bank turned hip hotel is ultra-contemporary, spotlighting three distinct layers of public spaces that have made it a popular gathering spot. Its location, adjacent to the Via Veneto and just a short jaunt from Piazza di Spagna, also makes it one of the city's most desirable destinations. Nearby are sophisticated shops, sidewalk cafes, celebrated museums and many public works of art.

Pool day disappointment

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

We are three ladies who have worked hard to get to the top of our professions so are well able to afford ourselves a treat or two. We don't mind paying for these treats, even if they are expensive, but we expect to get something worthy of the cost. Hilton should be ashamed of this offering. We were looking for a good location to spray the day by the pool. We were told over the 'phone that we couldn't book, so we arrived at opening time, 10am, to be sure to get three sun beds together. We were told that we could only have chairs, not poolside, but hey ho, we were there, so settled for that. We were quoted 120 euro including water, a cocktail and one course from the menu. Look at the prices. Look what I got. My burrata and heirloom tomato salad was laughable. It was supposed to come with "rustic bread crostini" which turned out to be packet croutons. No sign of basil or balsamic vinegar reduction either. 4 tiny, I mean tiny, pieces of cheese which may or may not have been burrata, there was hardly enough to take a dna sample. One of my friends couldn't eat the chicken in her Caesar salad as it tasted fishy. They forgot the bread, which eventually arrived including gluten free for one of us. The service was charming, I think the staff was embarrassed, I would be, as they didn't charge for a couple of drinks (also highly priced, 12 euro for a half of beer???) It would have been 1 star if not for that. The pool is small, but ok to sit around in, no Olympic lengths! Sooo disappointed!

Overall, the Aleph offers a very enjoyable four-star experience rather than a true five-star one. The excellent location

★★★★☆ (4/5) We had a wonderful stay at the Aleph Rome and would happily return. It’s in a fantastic central location, making it easy to explore all of Rome’s major attractions on foot or by taxi. Our room was absolutely superb—beautifully appointed, spacious and very comfortable. We travelled with our 15-year-old son, who was delighted to have his own separate space, which made our family stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop pool is a real highlight and a lovely place to relax after sightseeing. However, it was extremely difficult to secure a reservation, and despite trying several times, we weren’t able to use it, which was disappointing. The spa and gym facilities are excellent. I had a massage during our stay, which was one of the highlights of the trip—professional, relaxing and a wonderful experience. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. There was an excellent selection of fresh food, everything you could want, and the service from the breakfast team was exceptional. Room service, however, was a little inconsistent. The food itself was average, and on more than one occasion items were forgotten from our order. We also found that one of the hotel’s lifts was out of service throughout our stay, which sometimes meant a wait. Overall, the Aleph offers a very enjoyable four-star experience rather than a true five-star one. The excellent location, beautiful rooms, fantastic spa and outstanding breakfast more than make up for a few operational shortcomings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable base in the heart of Rome.

The Perfect Retreat in the Heart of Rome

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We had a fantastic stay at Aleph Hotel Rome. After a busy travel day and experiencing the hustle and bustle of Rome, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Alessio gave us a warm welcome, made check in easy, and took the time to show us around the room, which we really appreciated. The hotel feels fresh, clean, modern, and even smells amazing when you walk in. The service was outstanding throughout our stay. Everyone was genuinely friendly and attentive, from the breakfast and pool staff to the doormen, especially Mario, who always greeted us with a smile and was happy to help. The breakfast was excellent, with a generous buffet and plenty of freshly made items you could order as well. We also loved how modern everything was. The air conditioning, lighting, outlets, and room technology all worked perfectly and felt up to date. Communication through WhatsApp was quick and convenient whenever we needed anything. What really stood out was that Aleph delivers a true five star experience without feeling formal or pretentious. It is elegant, welcoming, comfortable, and a place we would happily stay again.

Beautiful hotel - great location - highly recommended

Beautiful hotel - super comfortable beds, fabulous pillows, great air conditioning! What a treat! Loved the location. Aleph is within walking distance (a few blocks) to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and the Metro station is just a block or two away as well. Our travel agent helped us find the Aleph and we only stayed here one night. 3 adults (husband, adult son, and myself) so we booked a junior suite that included a sofa bed. The rooms are very large for European hotel rooms. Our room was equipped with plush amenities that matched the room price and we even were treated to a small sample of the Aleph pillow spray! Rooms were super quiet at night and the atmosphere was in line with a high end boutique hotel. Honestly, we were so tired when we got there and we slept so well . . . wish we could have stayed longer! Staff was super friendly and helpful. We were able to check our luggage at the bell desk after we checked out for a few hours so that we could explore the city while waiting for our train. So gracious! We had a communication mix up when checking in - only adding this so that others travelers get clarity if they have a similar experience. The staff noted that my husband had Hilton Diamond status and we thought that they offered him an omelette for breakfast (in addition to the breakfast bar) as a choice of a welcome gift. We had to leave the hotel at 7:15 in the morning and the breakfast opened at 7am. The restaurant quickly made him the breakfast he ordered at 7am, but then when we were getting into our taxi, the waiter chased us down to have him pay for the omelette! It was an awkward situation, we were in a hurry to make a tour, and so we just paid rather than taking time to straighten out the dilemma. Stuff happens when you travel - we loved this hotel anyway!
