Immerse yourself in the splendour of ancient Rome in a crescent-shaped palazzo fronting the Piazza della Repubblica. Anantara Palazzo Naiadi showcases a uniquely storied history, with 19th-century marble architecture and meeting rooms suspended over the ruins of the Baths of Diocletian. Our palatial hotel also boasts one of the most enviable locations in the city centre, with iconic sites such as the Fori Imperiali, Via Veneto, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps all within walking distance. After a day of exploration, return to an evening of rooftop relaxation overlooking the Eternal City.

Anantara Rome: Elegant, Exceptional, Unforgettable ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We spent four nights in April in the Academic Suite on the second floor, and from the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be a special stay. The Anantara Rome is architected like a palace, with grand proportions, beautiful detailing and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The location is brilliant too, surrounded by shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. From the moment you arrive, the service sets the tone. The bell boys, front desk staff and concierge team are all exceptional, but it's the concierge team who really stand out. They helped us arrange several excursions throughout our stay, and what genuinely impressed us was how invested they became in our experiences. Every time we returned and told them about our day, their faces lit up with real enthusiasm. They also booked us a table at Target, a wonderful local restaurant, calling ahead on our behalf and even walking us to the door. It's the kind of personal touch that turns a great hotel into a memorable one. The concierge team wear tailcoats, which adds a wonderful touch of old-world sophistication. Breakfast on level one is an incredible experience and well worth taking your time over. The buffet spread is broad, varied and beautifully presented. The only thing to be mindful of is that the breakfast restaurant does get very busy, so you may need a little patience, particularly if you're ordering certain items off the menu. That said, it's a minor point in an otherwise outstanding offering. If you get the chance, make your way up to the fifth floor restaurant and rooftop bar. The views are something special, and the atmosphere is fantastic, with two DJs and a live performer creating a vibrant energy that makes it the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the city. The manager, Claudio, could not have done more for us and made every visit feel like an occasion. This is a genuine five-star property with real character, incredible service and that fifth floor bar scene as the cherry on top. We would not hesitate to return.

There were a few issues with our rooms at the start of our stay, but the hotel went above and beyond to resolve them quickly and ensure we had the best possible experience. A special thank you to Gemma, who was outstanding, and to Luna and the rest of the concierge team for their fantastic restaurant recommendations—they truly made a difference to our trip. The restaurants are well worth a visit, with Ineo being a particular highlight. The cocktails at the bar are on the pricier side, but they are excellent and worth trying. The pianist at breakfast was also a lovely touch and added to the overall atmosphere. The only downside was being given a somewhat hard sell for a more expensive room during check-in, which felt unnecessary.
